På denna halvdagstur i Soweto kommer din guide att ta dig över alla hotspots i Soweto. På väg till Soweto passerar vi förbi National Football Stadium, som var värd för öppnings- och avslutningsceremonierna för VM 2010. Vi går in i Diepkloof-området, där vi tar en promenad förbi säljare som säljer nästan vad som helst.
Vi begav oss till hjärtat av Soweto och körde förbi Baragwanath Hospital, en enorm taxistation och den historiska förorten Diepkloof.
Vårt första stopp i Soweto är vid Motsoaledi informella bosättning. Gå genom sandgatorna med din guide förbi lokala bostäder och en typisk informell bosättningsdagvård som MoAfrika Tours och alla resenärer sponsrar genom att besöka oss. Vi fortsätter genom Orlando West till navet i Soweto. Vi stannar utanför Regina Mundi-kyrkan och Frihetstorget för en snabb överblick.
Walter Sisulu Square (Frihetstorget), formellt känt som Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication, ligger i hjärtat av Kliptown i Soweto, Sydafrika.
Hector Pieterson Museum är ett stort museum beläget i Orlando West, Soweto, Sydafrika, två kvarter från där Hector Pieterson sköts och dödades 16 juni 1976.
Vi tar oss nerför den livliga Vilakazi-gatan, tidigare ikoniska monument och Nelsons och hem Winnie Mandela och ärkebiskop Desmond Tutu.

1365610 Pending review Absolutely fascinating We were on a private tour but cannot remember who with! However they are all similar. Absolutely fascinating including a drive around the less exotic areas!!! The locals seemed content for us to be there. A different way of life for the 3.5 million that live there…from modest to very very basic. The area around Mandel’s house seemed safe but busy, but you need to be strong with the hawkers. This is a must do, and there are so many different ways of touring, such as walking, cycling, private, group etc. Can certainly take you out of your comfort zone.

Thomas was a great guide for this tour. It was just me on the tour so I got to see exactly what I wanted. Great history, especially the Hector Peterson Museum. Good communication before and after as well. You do visit a school and are probably going to want to donate a bit so bring some cash.

An eye-opening experience! We got picked up at our hotel and were able to modify the drop of location to the apartheids museum, which was very accommodating. He taught us lots about the soweto, the good, bad and the ugly. We also were able to go to the pieterson museum, during the tour, and walk through one of the settlements, and talk to the people living there. It was also nice to go by car, so we could see all the areas of the soweto. Would totally recommend Khutso as a guide!!

Khurtso was fantastic guide, we never felt rushed and his in-depth knowledge is impressive. What surprised and delighted me was the sense of community, unity and hope in even the poorest parts of Soweto. I was genuinely moved by what I saw. I would highly recommend this tour.
