Följ med på en halvdagstur för att beundra det tekniska underverket i Korintkanalen och återupplev med vår Virtual Reality Guide Ancient Corinth, känd för sin betydande plats i antik och religiös historia.

Stig in i vår moderna buss med luftkonditionering från 4 centrala mötesplatser och res till området Peloponnesos. En timmes bilresa från Aten, i området Peloponnesos kommer du att kunna hitta den berömda Korintkanalen. Korintkanalen är en kanal som förbinder Korintviken med Saroniska viken i Egeiska havet. Den skär genom den smala näset i Korint och skiljer Peloponnesos från det grekiska fastlandet, vilket i praktiken gör den tidigare halvön till en ö. Kanalen höjde Pireus status som en stor medelhavshamn. Ett projekt som sträckte sig över många århundraden, det skapades av en härskare i det antika Korint, påbörjat av den romerske kejsaren Nero och avslutat på 1800-talet av fransmännen. Genomskuren sten är kanalen mer än 6 km lång och 23 m bred och dess vertikala sidor reser sig 90 m över vattnet. Vi stannar vid kanalen i 45 min. Nära kanalen finns alternativ för förfriskningar, snacks och offentliga toaletter.
Sedan beger vi oss till antikens Corith, en mycket viktig stad under antiken och romartiden. (30 min ritt). Känd för sin rikedom och arkitektur, var Korint platsen för Greklands slutliga ställningstagande mot Rom. Efter nederlaget jämnade romarna staden med marken och återuppbyggde den som en romersk bosättning med teatrar, ett forum och kejserliga tempel. Endast Apollotemplet skonades. Korint var hem för den berömda Jason av argonauterna, stjäla det gyllene skinnet, Pausanias, romerska resande, och St Paul, som lärde evangeliet om Kristus här. Museet på webbplatsen är också ett måste att besöka. Vi kommer att stanna i antikens Korint i 3 timmar. Det finns också en närliggande by för snabb lunch eller snacks.
På vägen tillbaka till Aten kör vi den vackra kustvägen och vi stannar till för att fotografera den antika hamnen i Kechries. I antiken var Kenchreai en av de två hamnarna i den inre stadsstaten Korint. Medan Kenchreai trafikerade de östra handelsvägarna via Saroniska viken, tjänade Lechaion vid Korintiska viken handelsvägarna som ledde västerut till Italien och resten av Europa. (30 min med bil). Vi stannar 10 min för bilder. Vi åker tillbaka till Aten för att gå iland med komfort på någon av våra fyra avlämningsplatser. (1 timmes bilresa).

This was a fantastic tour. It was significantly less to have the audio tour and earbuds at ancient Corinth, and we could go at our own pace. Our tour guide kept everyone on track at each of the 4 stops, and apart from the audio at the Corinth ruins, did keep us informed about what each site was about.
Thank you to Eva and Dimitri for the wonderful day of discovery. The stop at the canal was just perfect! Just the right duration, and it was truly impressive! I fell in love with ancient Corinth and Acrocorinth as well! The audio guide with the device allowing us to see the state of the places in the past is a wow! But the headphones worked less well. Bring your own (with a wire). Eva shared beautiful Very interesting information!

The Google pin was in the wrong spot for pick up. Wife and I stood in spot for 45 minutes. Come to find out the pick up spot was in front of our hotel. Contacted visitor and they refused to refund money for their mistake.
I would never recommend booking a trip through this company. We (my pregnant wife and I) showed up to the pick up location, which they have listed as the 4th stop, 10 minutes early. At no point did we see a bus stop, nor did any tour guide get out of any bus to ask if we were there for this specific tour. You’d think, since we are tourist and English speaking, they would go above and beyond to make sure you get to where you need to go. We ended up waiting 20 minutes to call to then be told they had already picked up people from that spot and didn’t have time to turn around. They left us, tourists, in the middle of Athens! They I tried dealing with customer service, which is absolutely lacking, and they were no help at all and had to contact multiple people just to get my refund. They offered to book us the next day but that was the day we were leaving and then tried to offer us a tour that is completely different from what we wanted. I just wanted a simple refund because of all the hassle they put us through. After letting them know I will leave a review of my experience, I received an unprofessional and snarky response by the individual I tried working with from the tour company. We ended up taking a train to ancient Corinth ourselves and getting there and had a wonderful time, no thanks to this tour. I recommend you try doing the same, it is cheaper and you get more flexibility for what you want to do while there. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! They will leave you stranded and try to keep your money.
8 hours is NOT A HALF DAY! spent hours up a mountain and on a deserted beach, vtr guide device was a mobile, impossible to view in the sun.
It was everything they claimed it would be, the guide was helpful and informative, the driver drove safely, and they kept to the schedule. Note that Athens traffic makes timing somewhat uncertain. Our tour lasted seven hours from pickup to dropoff.
Excellent day. Just enough time at the canal. Better than other trips. Great guide, small group no thieves on the bus like the other two tours we did.
Nice tour, but a bit too long - planned to be there for 6 hours, but it took more than 8 which might cause some issues in case of other plans (luckily it did not affect us). The canal, actually, is not the most impressive thing, as the Corinth city is more impressive and the castle ruins at the top of the mountain are more impressive. Would suggest to have more time to check them and not visit the beach/ancient port site as it was not that impressive.
Beautiful excursion guide very helpful scenic route , to be recommended, considering that the total time exceeds the hours scheduled for traffic
