Dessutom har denna katalanska zonen en stor tradition för att producera vin, även om det är en liten region, det är arvtagare till de stora vinstraditionerna i centrala Katalonien. Du kommer att se den fantastiska formen på Montserrats magiska berg från bilen, på väg till vingården. När du kommer till vingården kommer du att upptäcka den gamla källaren och den nya källaren.
Vi kommer att besöka ett familjeföretag, en ekologisk vingård som började odla sina vingårdar och arbeta i vinvärlden 1885 och som nuförtiden är den femte generationen som tar särskild hänsyn till vingården och anstränger sig för att ge maximal kvalitet till sina produkter. Den här upplevelsen inkluderar också ett besök på vingården som ger dig möjlighet att besöka en typisk katalansk bondgård och vandra genom de ekologiska vingårdarna i dess unika miljö. Vi kommer att lära känna de lokala sorterna som vit Picapoll, sumoll , mandó och Red Picapoll, vi kommer att utforska produktionsanläggningen och fatrummet och slutligen kommer vi att smaka på två viner där de kommer att förklara oss allt om dessa viner som åtföljs av någon aptitretare. Efter vår vinprovningsupplevelse lär vi oss allt om Olivolja.
Olivolja är en grundläggande del av medelhavskosten, där de flesta måltiderna serveras med en olivoljaflaska vid sidan av. Av denna anledning är den här upplevelsen ett sätt att fördjupa dig i den katalanska kulturen. Den här upplevelsen kommer att visa dig den magnifika världen av detta flytande guld samtidigt som du njuter av den vackra landsbygden i Vall d'Hortons. När du går längs de tusenåriga ekologiska olivlundarna kommer du att njuta av stillheten i landskapet med den fantastiska utsikten över Montserrat bergen. När du besöker workshopen där denna olja produceras kommer du att lära dig hur processen går till och slutligen kommer du att njuta av och oljeprova med typiska och ekologiska katalanska produkter från Vall d’Hortons som ost, honung och kallskuret.

What a beautiful day! We were picked up at our hotel PROMPTLY by David… he drove us to an AMAZING niche Olive Oil plantation. Operated the most wonderful and knowledgeable team. THE OIL was exquisite. Of course we had to buy a bunch. 😘 Next, we travel to another small niche winery… And all we can say is …. OMG. The wine was divine, from the whites, reds, sparkling and to the fabulous aged. They also hold local events here… Weddings, teambuilding, private party and tapas and a wine bar on the weekends for locals …events… With four rooms to choose from, large to intimate the aesthetics were impressive . it’s owned by the same family for generations and the unique thing is that they have kept tools, bottles barrels and yes animal skins that wine was stored in. Very educational . Needless to say several hundred dollars later… and several cases later heading to the states. Thank goodness they ship. David’s driving was immaculate, safe and a beautiful journey we were taken back to our hotel. A memory we soon will not forget.

We had a wonderful time on this tour; thank you, Melanie! The tour was private, just GF and I, in a private car. Melanie was wonderful and knowledgable and the food and wine were delicious and seemed authentic. The locations were carefully selected and took us to some off the beaten path places. The tours we received were extensive and thorough; the guides were happy to answer our many questions. The olive oil and chocolate we bought are amazing. If you have an opportunity to work with Melanie and her company, do it! I would repeat this exact same tour in a heartbeat.

Loved this tour! Fantastic wat to end our trip! We have never done an olive oil tasting before and this was very interesting and fun. The winery was beautiful and I enjoyed every wine we tasted! I highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing time on our Barcelona Discovery Tour! Definitely recommend the wine/olive oil tour and tour company. The communication setting up the tour was so easy. Melanie came to pick us up at our hotel and we drove through the beautiful Catalan region. It was a foggy day, but we were still able to see a little bit of Montserrat from the distance. Our first stop was a beautiful winery, where we had a private tour with Marisola. We learned about the history of the winery and their wine making process (both old and new). We had a tasting of some great wines and an impressive spread including cheese, meat, bread, tomato, pate, chocolate, etc to accompany our wines in one of the historic stone houses. The wines and the experience were great! One of the best vineyard tours we've been on. The wines were really good and we ended up buying some to take home. Our second stop was the olive oil tasting and tour. We had a private tasting and tour with Aena. We learned about the history of the olive orchard, what to look for in tasting, did a tasting, and then walked around the beautiful orchard. It was an awesome and new experience as we never did a olive oil tasting before. The olive oil was great and we ended up buying olive oil and chocolate for gifts. It was an awesome day! Thanks to Melanie, we could not have been more happy with our tour. Barcelona Discovery does an awesome job of partnering with great wineries, olive orchards, and different experiences. We had such a great time. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Spain!
