Halv dags Delos Tour från Mykonos

Our guide Celia was knowlegeable and very engaging. She not only gave the information, but was humorous. The site was facinating.

First thing to say, the island itself is very interesting and our guide was wonderful. That’s the good stuff. It was most DEFINITELY not worth the price we paid. Read all the info before you book. After paying £52 each, we then discovered we had to pay a further €20 each to actually get ON the island and into the site itself. The money charged is basically for the 25 minute boat ride across and back. Nothing else. We chose the afternoon trip which is shorter than the morning trip. Once the tour guide had finished her tour, we had a 45 minute window to be back at the boat. As we wanted to take a trip up to the temple at top of hill (15-20 mins walk) it meant we didn’t have enough time to visit the museum or cafeteria. We, and a few others were rather annoyed by this and felt very short changed, having paid all that money. I was also asked to hand over my phone on way out so they could check my photos which shocked me. They were checking people at random. Only when I protested that no one had mentioned anything about this did they stop and hand me it back. This was NOT acceptable and we were very angry. It was interesting and informative to learn about the island, its history and significance, but I’m afraid the cost, time management (not ours) and the phone situation at end left a rather sour taste in our mouths. Unless you can find a cheaper way to get there, I would NOT recommend. VASTLY overpriced and a bit of a rip off in our opinion. A real shame.

The ruins were amazing. However our guide spent too much time talking, we spent 15 minutes at the entrance before she started the tour. We weren't able to see much, until we decided to go off on our own. The guide is very knowledgeable but she kept telling us stories, that she could have told us while walking. We wouldn't have seen much if we didn't go off on out own. She didnt even take us to the temple of isle. I would recommend to go on a self guided tour.

Our driver picked us up early and was very informative of what we needed to do. Our guide was wonderful. Celia was great with history of Delos. The boat workers were a little overwhelmed but thats because they weren't being listened to. They were awesome. I would recommend this trip to everyone coming to Mykenos

Delos is a 'must visit' if you are staying in Mykonos. An excellent trip with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Only point to note is that the admission fee to the historic sites of 20 euros per person is not included in the price. Highly recommended!

It was not worth the time or money. At the beginning , we stood on the pier for 20 minutes listening to the guide speak. Essentially , We spent most of the time just listening to her talk. Many things on the tour were not visited and we had 5-7 minutes in the museum. About 11 people left the tour because there were things they wanted to see which were on the iteniary and the guide said there wasn’t enough time. I have used Viator multiple times on my trips to France , England , India, Germany ,Austria, Switzerland and Italy. My daughter also uses the app. So I was hesitant to respond in such a negative way.

Super tour leader and her help we could hab seen áll the important places and we got enough time for the museum as well

Very good. Delos is an amazing ancient site, and our guide Adamantia was a mine of information. Highly recommended.

Worth booking a guided tour, as you get so much more out of a visit, rather than going it alone. Our guide was Celia, an archaeologist, who gave lots background info. Booking info says it takes 1/2 day, but tour itself only lasts 1.5 hours. You can get a later boat back (we went in the morning), but we weren't told this until on Delos, so would have missed transport back to hotel, and not sure how crowded this boat would be if lots people chose to do this, but it would give you time to wander on your own. Take sun protection as no shade on island.
