Meeting point can be a little confusing since there’s multiple tours picking up at the same area. Make sure to arrive on time and pay attention. The Pena Palace was closed due to extreme heat/forest conditions, so we didn’t tour there but Hugo still make the experience wonderful. He would provide information, allow us our space to explore, take photos for us, and friendly. Sintra is BEAUTIFUL!! Walking wasn’t as bad as expected but that may be since we didn’t visit the Pena Palace. Personally not a big history buff so this half day tour was more than enough. Highly recommend
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Sintra and the Palace de Pena trip. We took the morning trip as it was hot in Lisbon and we wanted to avoid too many crowds. Olcay was a fantastic guide. His English is superb and he is so knowledgable about Sintra and also the history of Portugal. He was engaging, attentive to all his guests on the tour and fun to be with.
Small group of 6 was excellent. Easy bus ride and Pena Palace was definitely worth the visit. Unfortunately didn’t get to have a look around Sintra itself, just the bakery for local treats.
olcay and Kenan were excellent, they were on time and extremely friendly. Olcay was incredibly knowledgeable and shared information in a fun interesting way. Excellent tour!

It was an awesome experience. Our tour guide was a history buff and this asset was an added pleasure. He had a lot of information to share and he was funny too which was enjoyable.

Things to note: This tour takes you to the palace and Sintra. 1. You will need to purchase your own tickets to the palace. 2. You do not see the inside of the palace only the exterior. It is also windy near the top. 3. You get time about 60-75 minutes in Sintra. It was crowded with tourists and tour groups. 4. Go in the morning, as temperatures will be cooler and traffic will increase as the day unfolds. This tour was average. If you just want Sintra and the palace a half day away was ideal.

Amount of time just right to visit Pena and Sintra. Great driver/host. So patient with everyone in the group and very knowledgeable.

The tour included a stop at the park of the Sintra castle. The time allocated for visiting the park does not allow for an interior visit of the castle. The popularity of the interior visit means there is a wait. Additionally, you must add the cost for visiting the park and the castle. The stop at the village of Sintra is pleasant. There are many people circulating, but the atmosphere and the shops are enjoyable. We would have liked more explanation about the sumptuous castles and villas that abound in this region. The tour is in a small group, which makes the transport enjoyable. Water is provided, and a stop to taste homemade cherry liqueur is included in the tour.
