Macorix House of Rum är ett historiskt museum för familjen Ron Macorix föddes 1899 av familjen Carrión från staden San Pedro de Macorís, en plats som av många anses vara poeternas, konstnärernas och sockerrörens land. 110 år senare blev Ron Macorix en del av familjen Vinícola del Norte i hamnstaden Puerto Plata, och förenade två emblematiska romproducerande städer i Dominikanska republiken.
Eftersom det är en av de vackraste visuella attraktionerna i staden, går många turister dag för dag för att njuta av dessa vackra platser och ta de vackraste bilderna.

Del Oro Chocolate Factory, Dominikanska republiken är välkända för sin chokladproduktion, så självklart var jag tvungen att ta en Del Oro Chocolate Factory-turné. Odling, bearbetning och export av rå kakao och andra kakaoprodukter är en stor del av deras ekonomi och de gör det bra! Mycket av deras choklad tar sig till USA och Europa.
I detta stopp ska vi besöka San Felipe Fortress området från ut, Puerto Plata Amphitheater och se den finaste utsikten över gthe havet.

Tour was very informative. We enjoyed the tour very much. We would definitely recommend it to others.
Our family cruise to Amber Cove and decided to take a tour of the city. Arabella showed us around Puerto Plata and our time spent. There was amazing! He is professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. He even took us to a restaurant and the food was delicious. This is a must do tour if you want to indulge in the culture in an enjoyable family, friendly environment.

First of all, our guide Jonathon was excellent! Very knowledgeable. For us the tour the was just enough 3.5 hours. The Umbrella Street stop, while touristy, was very cool for photos. Macorix House of Rum and Del Oro Chocolate Factory were also great stops along the tour.

This was well worth the money. The sites from top the hill. To all the knowledge you are told while on tour. The rum tasting is amazing and the chocolate tasting was good. Bothe umbrella and pink alley are worth visiting.

Andy our driver/guide was excellent. He is very knowledgeable. Similar—if not the same—itinerary as an excursion booked through our cruise line at a fraction of the cost. Definitely recommend this tour

We had a fantastic time on this half-day city tour in Puerto Plata. A huge shoutout to our driver, Andy, who was incredibly nice and friendly. He made the whole experience so much better and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a relaxing and fun way to see the city!
