I used it alone and found it very convenient. First, I looked at all the stops and selected the ones that interested me. I then marked them on Maps and created my very own route. I always listened to the history of each sight. It was great because it was very flexible, and I could listen to it multiple times.
The concept is great! Initially, the communication hooked up a bit to find the app and launch the audio guide, but then we were perfectly guided around the city. No group to follow and no useless discussion with a guide. Instead, we have set our own priorities as to which sights we are more or less interested in. Top! We took more time than the guide apparently calculated. The Hague is simply too beautiful, too varied and offers too much to interest. We then simply continued our tour the next day. Just great!
I really liked this self guided walking tour! it was the first time i tried something like this without a guide. -The app was easy to download and instructions were clear on how to operate. I booked months in advance and activated on the day of. -once you open the app, you can see the route, and go to any point of the route to start. I started in china town, thats where my apartment was, and actually went backwards on the route. -At each spot, the app will automatically pop up to tell you to play a story. And you play it and it tells you about what you are looking at. You have to be at the right spot to activate it, but the app guides you. -I found the guide very helpfull and clear, they explained everything well, with lots of stories and history. -You are also free to skip something if its boring to you, or skip whole parts of the route for time, its completely self guided, and the spots activate if they are done in order or not. -It was a great walk, it was about 2-3 hours walk, all around the downtown, seeing everything there is to see. I thought it was a great experience

The great thing about this type of tour is that you could take your time. Stop at a place you find interesting and then continue on. The app works perfectly and you can definitely restart the tour.

Not clear enough that I needed the second email. Perhaps add a small direction to facilitate where the nearest point of tour is located. We spent a lot of time downloading the app and then trying to locate any of the points on the route.
Hello Linda, Since you bought the tour via Viator instead of directly from us, you receive 2 mails... one from Viator (with a booking confirmation)and one from us (with instructions). It seems like you missed our mail... The map in the app shows you all the POI's and your current position, so all you need to do is walk towards the nearest point and the audio will play. The app offers GPS guidance to do so. I talked to you and your husband through the helpdesk and you told me the internet connection was bad... unfortunately this is beyond our control. I think your problems might be caused by a bad internet connection, not by our app. I'm sorry to hear you did not get the chance to listen to all of the nice stories we have collected for the tour in The Hague.
I love that you have the freedom to organize your own time. If you walk with a guide, you might want to stay a little longer one moment and shorter the next. You will receive enough information that you can listen to later at home. Highly recommended!

This was a perfect way to see the city. I went at my own pace, and took breaks when I needed them. The map worked very well.

We did not have the instructions/ code to download the audio guide. We were sent them sometime in March- not when we paid but when we booked. When we contacted the tour operator, instead of sending the info, we were directed to that email. We have been traveling since April 7 with limited internet/cell service. I contacted Viator since my App has been acting up. We missed the tour after traveling to The Hague from Rotterdam
I checked your booking details. You received the instructions and code within the same minute you completed your booking. We also sent you a reminder one day before the tour. After your request, I responded within minutes and provided the information again. Clearly, it was not our company that let you down, but rather an issue with your internet connection. Even so, if you had contacted us about the situation, we would have gladly offered you a refund. Instead, you chose to leave a negative review that doesn't reflect the quality of our product. With the same effort you could have contacted our helpdesk...
This was an interesting and comprehensive tour that was easy to follow. Directions were clear and I could proceed at my own pace. I listened to all explanations and took several pictures and the tour took three hours.
