En resa genom Veronas smaker och italienska kök med din lokala guide, antingen på engelska eller italienska. Vi börjar i en delikatessbutik för att provsmaka ett urval av skinka och ost tillsammans med grönsakspatéer. Eftersom det växer mycket oliver i området kommer vi att stanna till vid den lokala oljebruksbutiken för att prova en bruschetta och lära oss allt om den. Nästa stopp kommer vi att prova 3 ikoniska italienska choklad och ta reda på mer om hur de tillverkas. Verona är känt för sina röda Valpolicella-viner. Vi kommer att ha en paus i provningsrummet i Saibante, en vingård som producerar mindre än 15 000 flaskor per år. Vi kommer inte bara att smaka, utan avslöja hemligheterna bakom dess tillverkning. När vi går genom UNESCOs Veronas historiska centrum kommer guiderna att dela berättelser om stadens historia, traditioner och kultur. Det sista stoppet blir i familjebutiken som från 1909 producerar Pandoro, Veronas mest kända tårta. Kom hungrig, glad att lära dig nya saker och redo att utforska smakerna i Verona.

Vårt första stopp kommer att vara i Castelvecchio-området, på en lokal delikatessbutik för att prova ett urval av skinkor, ostar och grönsakspatéer från Sicilien.
Efter en kort promenad genom Veronas pittoreska gator stannar vi till vid oljekvarnen Redoro-butiken. Gardasjön håller klimatet perfekt för att odla oliver, så njut av en bruschetta med detta flytande guld och 2 patéer.
Verona är känt för sina Valpolicella-viner där vingården Corte Saibante ligger. De producerar mindre än 10 000 flaskor per år och håller en hög kvalitet. Vi stannar till deras provsmakningsrum nära Arenan där en sommelier kommer att förklara och servera 2 provningar av Valpolicella
Vi passerar Piazza Erbe för att stanna vid familjebutiken som producerar och säljer Pandoro, Veronas mest kända tårta. Kom hungrig och redo att utforska Veronas smaker!
Turen kommer inte att sluta till Juliet's House men vi passerar i närheten. Huset användes som hotell på Dickens tid.

Jacopo was very knowledgable and friendly and we had a great time. We were a family of 4 with a 22 year old and 14 year old. Learnt lots about the history of Verona. Would highly recommend this tour

Manuela was a wonderful guide who shared insights about Verona and its food culture. We visited small shops with food/drink/sweets specific to Verona and the region. We especially appreciated that even though the tour did not fill up ( only the two of us + Manuela), he did not cancel for whatever reason, as so often happens. We highly recommend the tour. We are not used to good wine and after three glasses we were high... anyway in the end it went well and we all went home happy

Our guide, Leonardo was fantastic! It was only my wife and me on the tour but that didn’t throw him. Leonardo was very knowledgable about Verona and the food and wine from the area. While there were not as many tastings as other tours we’ve taken, we learned a lot about the items and how they fit into Verona’s food history. The walk around town was also very informative. We really felt coming away from the tour that we certainly got our money’s worth and spent a few very pleasant hours learning about Verona.

This was not as good as other food walks I've taken in other cities, but it was fun. Our first stop, an olive oil tasting on bruschetta, was not informative at all, but the oils were interesting and different. The candy stop was an intense rapid overload of sugar with hardly any information. Our cake stop wasn't a stop, it was a pick-up and eat in the street, again, with no information. Our final stop we actually learned a bit about the two wines, but nothing more about the meats and cheeses than their straightforward descriptions. As we walked through Verona our guide pointed out a few historical points of interest. While we had a very good time with our guide and the other guests, the food choices didn't thrill us.

Unfortunately, the guide that was there was substituting our main guide who had an accident, so that is why the informative part was lacking. But now our main guide is back! And thank you for your feedbacks about the food too. Anyway, we're waiting for you on our other tours!
