Ouen-Toro-kullen stiger upp mot denna steniga punkt. En väg går längs kommunparken och leder till den 128 meter höga toppen med utsikt över lagunen. Det toppas med två fantastiska kanoner, installerade av den australiensiska armén 1940. Därifrån kan du ta en enastående utsikt över Noumea och dess omgivningar. När vi kommer tillbaka ner erbjuder vägen runt kullen ofta många mycket intressanta vyer över stadens olika sidor. I söder ser du precis under dig hotellen Méridien och Château Royal, gränsade till Château Royal-stranden, samt Anse Vata-stranden och, längre bort, öarna, Île aux Canards och Îlot Maître. Fortsätter västerut sträcker sig de två vikarna, Baie des Citrons och Baie de l'Orphelinat. I norr kan man se bostadsområdena, såsom Val Plaisance, Motor Pool, mottagande och N’Géa. Till öster ligger Sainte-Marie-bukten och dess lilla öar. Mont-Dore-bergen och kullarna i Nya Kaledoniens stora söder, Grand Sud, kan ses stiga på avstånd.
Mellan två stora stenar, Rocher César mot pointe Magnin och den berömda Rocher à la voile, på Lemon Bay-sidan, är Anse Vata en av de största turistattraktionerna i Nouméa. På östra sidan går en gångväg längs den långa stranden, Roger-Laroque strandpromenad, med många hotell, restauranger, barer, butiker och nattklubbar.
Baie des Citrons ligger mindre än 10 minuter från stadens centrum och är idag den mest anslutna badplatsen i den kaledonska huvudstaden. Butiker, barer, restauranger och nattklubbar följer varandra längs strandpromenaden, till stor glädje för turister och Nouméans ...
Tidigare hem för flera industriella aktiviteter inklusive smältning av nickel i Chaleix verkstäder, är "Orphelinat" Bay nu främst ett mycket trevligt bostadsområde som också inkluderar South Port Marina. Vattnet har nyligen omvandlats till en gång- och cykelväg fodrad med palmer för idrottare och familjer att turnera i vikarna. Ett annat minne från andra världskriget är ett ankare som tillhörde den amerikanska militären installerad i landet under denna period. Den sitter nu mitt i den huvudsakliga rondellen i grannskapet, vikfronten, och tog namnet ”korsning av marin ankare”.
Place des Cocotiers (Coconut Tree Square) är sedan slutet av 1800-talet hjärtat av staden Nouméa. På en yta på nästan 4 hektar (och 400 meter lång från öst till väst) är dess vidsträckta planering med en liten sluttning en plats för möten, lugn och festligheter året runt.

The tour exceeded expectations. Our guide was prompt courteous informative and friendly.
Good little tour showing the highlights of Noumea. Florence was an absolutely brilliant guide. Very engaging and her English was excellent. Had a great time. Alencia was a great driver.

Quite simple ...we must have booked a tour that no one would want to recommend. It was totally boring, our driver just raved on and the places we went to were unwelcoming. A few of us had to use a toilet.... OMG nothing but filth on the walls and floor, for an Island that has so many tourists how can the locals expect paying tourists to have to use these facilities. Nothing good to say about Port Villa, was over charged for a few items and the lady asked for more money. While being driven around it was most disturbing seeing rubbish piled up in the streets. With so many visiting tourists this was not what we expected. Perhaps Carnival cruise line should investigate the tours they offer. Totally dissatisfied and will not return.

Sorry to say of all the tours we have taken, this was the worst. The guide was not agreeable to putting the 6 of us in one van, although easily doable. Then she spoke almost no English, said very little in general on the entire tour, and provided no value than a drive around the island, which we could have done much easier and cheaper by. ourselves.

Unfortunate timing which can't blame on the tour company as Monday, April 6 was a holiday in Noumea, New Caledonia so much of the city was closed. However, our guide Florence was not well suited to answer questions or understand our questions as her English was extremely poor thereby we didn't learn much about the city and its history.

We just finished our tour of noumea with michael. Michael made us feel comfortable and showed us a few hidden spots, very informational . Can say that it was an amazing tour and a lot of fun!
