Att besöka Wine Museum of the Frrud Winery är likvärdigt med att göra en resa genom tid genom århundraden av historia under vilken vin är det ständiga elementet och där kunskapen om det förflutna blandas med den uppslukande upplevelsen i nutidens smaker genom provningen av vår viner i kombination med lokala ostar och charkuterier. Vinmuseum Frrud Winery Project föddes för ungefär 3 år sedan från drömmen om två ungdomar från staden Altamura. De villkor som kan beskriva dem är verkligen passion och beslutsamhet. passion för att tro fast i vårt lands potential och beslutsamhet inte bara för att bevara, utan också för att återställa en plats av stor historisk betydelse, att återvända till staden och framför allt att lämna den till kommande generationer. De två unga männen Paolo Colonna och Donato Scalera är inte födda som vinexperter, men den starka passion som förenar dem för deras land och speciellt för återhämtningen av de äldsta platserna i det lokala området, driver dem att inleda projektet. Ett åtagande som krävde mer än ett år av hårt arbete, där det gemensamma intresset var att upplysa så troligt som möjligt, alla föremål som hade kvarblivit bevarade under 70 års inaktivitet i strukturen. Detta har gjort det möjligt för oss att ge livet till föremål med mer än 100 års historia och göra vingården till en plats där människans och generationernas passage, som bokstavligen har levt dessa platser, är föremål, är uppenbart och påtagligt. Berättelsen, passionen och drömmen materialiseras när jorden med dess lukt och essenser faller inom strukturen, flaskas i de viner som finns i källaren. Vinets återkomst återvänder hela byggnadens livsnivå, i historien om en historia gjord av respekt för tidigare traditioner, av återhämtning av de gamla vinframställningsteknikerna, men framför allt förbättring av skönhet och makt som en 100% naturlig produkt kan ge. Idag är Frrud Winery ett museum öppet för allmänheten där det är omöjligt att inte flyttas av den berättelse som de två ungdomarna berättar och som är synlig för någon i objekten och produkterna inom strukturen. Inte bara ett besök, utan en känsla som börjar från det levande landet och det, genom de två pojkarnas passion, når alla hjärtans hjärta.

Amazing experience. Paolo is knowledgeable and passionate about the work he and his business partner have done to restore a 16th century wine making cellar. You shouldn’t skip this experience! It’s a unique and unforgettable tour.

Amazing experience with Paolo Amazing project they have done to discover and restore this historic winery in heart of Altamura Their passion extends to present day with creating new ecological local wines , we sampled three of them in the wine cave , really enjoyed the tasting . Wine accompanied by focaccia , local bread, local burrata and other cheeses … a wonderful couple of hours and enjoyed chatting with Paolo and learning about the story and historic details , thanks Paolo and good luck with the future plans 🙌🏼🍷🧀

This was, from start to finish, excellent. If you're interested in wine, food or history (I enjoy all three) you'll love this tour. Paolo is knowledgeable and passionate - an excellent guide and host. The museum is a labour of love, this is obvious, and the wine is very tasty. The food paired with the wine is all local and very high quality... I honestly can't think of a better thing to do.
Absurd place nestled in the historic center of Altamura, must see. Paolo a truly magnificent person very prepared. Spectacular wine!!

It was a great experience, Paolo treated you like family. The tour is really relax with time for photos, explore everything and ask all the questions that you want. A treasure that is a must go if you are on the area. The wine tasting is at the cave where the wine was stored years ago with some aperitif and their own olive oil and because it is a small batch, it really a VIP experience. Really good flavors on the primitivo grape with enough body to store for a few years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!🍷
Beautiful discovery! Paolo guided us to explore the places but, even more, the people who lived there and the activities they carried out there. In addition to the blast from the past, it was very interesting to learn about the project behind the Cantina Ffrud and the plans for its future. The visit itself lasted about forty minutes and ended with an excellent tasting, of another forty minutes, based on wines related to the cellar and other (exquisite) local specialties. A further added value of this moment was the opportunity to chat with Paolo about these products and the "philosophy" behind the wines produced. A true model for preserving and Offering the territory and local traditions, projected to the future. Highly recommended.
