Upplev historien om chokladtillverkning i Grenada
En naturskön inlopp, Carenage är ett bra ställe för en promenad längs vattnet, i de färgglada fiskebåtarna och rörelsen för leveranser laddas för andra öar. I norra änden har några av de robusta georgiska byggnaderna med utsikt över vattnet restaurerats.
Clarke’s Court Rum Distillery, Grenada Distillers Limited, det är ett "måste se" för alla besökare, de är öns mest kända och största destilleri och en av de mest intressanta historiska platserna. Fabriken har varit i drift sedan 1937 och ligger på den södra delen av ön, i Parish of St George. Du kommer att lära dig om alla olika processer och stadier för att göra deras fina rom. Du skulle lära dig om destilleringsprocessen från sockerrör, sirap och melass, till rom, och även åldrings-, blandnings- och buteljeringsprocessen. Du skulle också få möjligheten att upptäcka gamla ångmaskiner, några med anor så långt tillbaka som 1886. Rundturen i fabriken tar cirka 15-20 minuter, varefter du är inbjuden att provsmaka deras prisbelönta rom i provbaren. Du skulle få recept på olika sätt du kan blanda vår rom och verkligen uppskatta smaken av deras fina produkter.
Belägen på toppen av Richmond Hill i centrala St George's, Fort Frederick är en bastion typ fort, som erbjuder en 360-utsikt över St George's. Efter en promenad genom sina stora bågar ser du söderut ut mot St George's stad och beundrar den pittoreska Carenage och norrut till de rullande bergskanterna som omfattas av frodig vegetation och pittoreska hus. Grand Etang nationalpark är platsen att vara när du planerar din perfekta Grenada flyktbilen. När vi reser genom bergen börjar vi komma närmare öns tropiska interiörer. På parken får du lära dig om några av dess vackra växter och interagera med sina gästvänliga djur. Du kommer att styras genom den vackra tropiska `regnskogen till världens berömda Grand Etang krater Lake som ligger på 550 meter över havet och en av de två kratersjöarna på ön. Vid denna tidpunkt får du en perfekt utsikt över Mount Qua Qua, mata sjöens fiskar och upplev freden i vattnet.
Vid Annandale faller kommer du att njuta av stillheten av vatten som kaskader över klipporna, bara njut av skönheten och ljudet av fallen eller du kan spendera tid på att utforska spåren och omgivande trädgårdar där tropiska blommor och träd blomstrar.

It was good. However just constructive feedback There were certain things we had to go out our own way to do and I would just be aware of this. For example in the national park the monkeys were up in the trees and it was only as a result of me asking a guy who was not part of the tour that the tour guide had not pointed out that actually managed to get the monkeys to come down and have the photos. Had I of not prompted this man myself we would have simply left the park disappointed. The guide was a nice person and pointed out some useful points around the island but at any of the points that we went to it was sort of just "here it is" The order of the tour was also massively different to the itinerary which led to confusion from our end and sort of changed our plans for the day. It was effectively in reverse of what we had seen on the Itinerary. We did not go to all of the locations which was defineltly the biggest dissapointment especially when you pay so much for the experience. We did not go the spice garden but got to see some spices at the chocolate shop that we went to (which also was different to the one advertised) I understand the spice garden was closed but we saw other ones on route that looked similar and the chocolate place advertised was open we just did not go. If you are expecting to see all of the things promised, i would just slower expectations slightly. We didnt see things like the nutmeg or even the inside of the cocoa pods like the images suggest and you would not get your pic with a monkey unless you take it upon yourself to ask around to people who can get them to come down. Again we expected this to all be organised for us but it was not. It was effectively a shuttle with some interesting facts about the island which genuinely were interesting. And then just being dropped at places that were far below expectation other than the natural park and the falls.

We would like to clarify that all advertised tour stops were completed. Due to the spice garden being closed, a substitute stop and an additional bonus stop were provided. Regarding the Mona monkeys, these are wild animals living in their natural habitat. Their location, visibility, and willingness to approach visitors cannot be guaranteed by any tour operator. We are glad you were still able to see them and take photos during your visit. A truly wonderful excursion indeed. We had a fantastic time exploring the spice garden and chocolate museum, and the rum sampling was a fun way to round off the half-day experience. This is a must-do for everyone highly recommended!
We had such a great time on this tour! Jeremy made the experience even better with his energy and knowledge. The entire tour was fun, informative, and really well put together. The spice tour was one of the best parts, and getting to pick and eat fresh cocoa pods right from the tree was unforgettable. This is seriously an underrated experience and deserves way more recognition!
The Spice Garden was absolutely mesmerizing, and the chocolate stop was such a refreshing experience. We got an in-depth lesson on how chocolate is made, from the tree all the way to the final bar, which made the tasting even more enjoyable. By the end, we had tried so many different samples. Mango chocolate was something I’d never had before, but it quickly became a new favorite since I already love both mangoes and chocolate. My partner loved this tour just as much as I did, and we’d both 100% recommend it. Amber
This tour deserves 5 stars and more hands down the best experience we had on our trip! From the spice garden and chocolate factory to the rum distillery and breathtaking scenic views, every stop was perfectly chosen and thoughtfully planned. Our guide was an absolute class act professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and truly made the entire experience exceptional. It was our 15-year anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a more memorable way to mark the occasion. Exploring such a lush, mountainous island while meeting some of the kindest and most amazing people made this experience truly special. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island. You won’t regret it!
This was a phenomenal experience in Grenada. There was so much to see, learn, and appreciate about the island, its history, and its vibrant culture. We were in a very small group of 4 which included my wife and I and another couple. Our guide for the day, Mr. Walker, was outstanding knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly skilled at navigating the streets safely and smoothly. Nothing ever felt rushed, and we were able to explore at a comfortable pace while truly taking in every moment. This tour gave us a genuine feel for Grenada and made the entire experience both memorable and enjoyable.
Admissions to the sites are not included. This was a lot to pay for someone to just drive us around. There was very little information or narration from the "guide" unless we asked questions.
Hi there Wendy, We must clarify that admission fees are clearly stated in the tour listing as not included in the tour price, so this should not have come as a surprise. We also note that, although not included in the booking, we customarily cover half of the entrance fees for our guests as a courtesy. Our guide did provide information throughout the tour. Interaction on our tours is conversational in nature. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and the guide responds and expands based on guests’ interests rather than delivering a rehearsed script. To describe the experience as “just being driven around” does not accurately reflect the service that was provided. We stand by the quality of the tour as delivered. Regards
Had a great time learning about how rum was made. The spice garden was very interesting and very interactive. The chocolate tour, staff were rude and impatient. Gave a very short talk about chocolate. Felt like it was more of a gift shop experience rather than learning about chocolate. Was a disappointing end to the tour.

This was a four stop trip. Our tour guide Walker was incredibly informative and friendly. We enjoyed the stop at the Clarke’s Court rum distillery where we got a tour of the old facilities and we were able to do a tasting of all of their rums, okwhich were quite delicious. The spice Gardens were very interesting and we learned a lot about how the chocolates and spices are grown and harvested. Our tour guide at the garden let us taste everything. We skipped the chocolate factory because we had just been there the day before, but it’s also a really interesting place with lots of delicious chocolate! My only complaint is that we booked two adults and an infant and there was no car seat provided nor any instruction to bring our own car seat. I would have happily brought my own had I known. I’d recommend this tour for anyone who wants a flavour of what Grenada is all about.
We booked expecting a private tour for two based on direct email communication and a written confirmation stating “private tour experience.” Despite this, we were informed very late that the tour would be a group tour. The tour itself was fine, but the service delivered did not match what was confirmed in writing. Travelers should be very clear about what is actually being provided.
