Nick is very knowledgeable and passionate about his home town of Ghent. We visited many chocolate shops and learnt about the history of chocolate making in Belgium and in particular, Ghent. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend to anyone.
Thanks a lot for the great review of our Chocolate Tour. Much appreciated!
Really enjoyed our tour. Guide was very personable, sharing lots of history of Ghent, background behind why Belgium is so famous for chocolate and stories behind each shop. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and recommend for a fun way to experience such a great city.
Thanks 🤩🍫👍
We truly enjoyed our chocolate tour despite the 96° weather. It was hot but our guide (last name van damme) found shade for us as best he could. He was very knowledgeable with the local history and chocolate making (he’s a local Ghent resident). The chocolate was amazing! We liked the small group format. Highly recommend this tour!!
Thank you for the great review!
Great tour with Dieter! It turned out I was the only person who’d signed up on a very hot day, so it turned into a private tour! I loved how many of the chocolates I sampled were in some way connected to the social and political history of Ghent. I got an introduction to the history and landmarks of Ghent and got to try a huge range of chocolates along the way, from traditional to the new and unique. Many of what I tried was award winning. It’s a lot of chocolate! My only regret was it was so hot out that I couldn’t have saved anything for later. Highly recommend!
Thank you, Betsy, for the great review of our Chocolate Tour in Ghent!
Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Mandy was a delight and made it such a fun experience!!
Thanks a lot for the great review!
Had a great tour! Mandy did it full of enthusiasm and enjoyed her stories about Ghent for two hours. The chocolate was obviously delicious too😀. Recommended though😀.
Bedankt voor de geweldige review! Leuk om lezen 🤩
Great tour with Nick, providing excellent information about the city, country, and people from the Middle Ages to the present. The chocolatier selection was very diverse and also architecturally very interesting. Highly recommended!
🙏🙏🙏
This was a wonderful tour led by Matthias who was kind, funny and very knowledgeable. Included the history of Ghent (and Belgian chocolate) as we walked around town and sampled multiple very delicious chocolates! Thoroughly enjoyed!!
Thanks a lot Tracy, for the awesome review!
Great tour. The chocolate was delicious. Nick the tour guide was knowledgeable and a great personality. The best!
Thank you for the great feedback!
The guide presented a lot of local history - not only about chocolate-making - in a very entertaining way. We tasted 11 chocolates from 6 shops which were very good and very different from one another. My only negatives are that the bottled water supposedly included didn't appear, on a warm day when we needed it, and there was no chance to sit down during the two-hour tour. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this tour.
Hi Amy, Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 Great to hear you enjoyed the mix of local history and chocolates — and that the variety stood out. That’s exactly what we aim for! Regarding the water: thanks for pointing it out — we’ll make sure to communicate this even more clearly. As for seating: since it’s a walking tour through the historic city centre, we indeed keep moving most of the time to cover as much as possible — but we totally understand that a short break can be welcome. Thanks again for joining us and for the recommendation — it really means a lot! Kind regards, Nick Charlie Tours
