Börja vid den natursköna Charentsbågen, en panoramautsikt över det bibliska berget Ararat. Fortsätt till Garnitemplet från första århundradet, det enda överlevande hedniska templet i Kaukasus, tillägnat solguden Mihr. I närheten kan du beundra den hisnande Symphony of Stones, dramatiska basaltpelare som formats av vulkaniska krafter under årtusenden. Utforska det UNESCO-listade Geghardklostret, delvis inskuret i klipporna i övre Azatdalen. Komplettera din upplevelse med en traditionell Lavash-bakceremoni i en Tonir-ugn – Armeniens ikoniska bröd, erkänt av UNESCO som immateriellt kulturarv.

Det första stoppet ligger nära Charentsbågen, som heter för att hedra den armeniska poeten Eghishe Charents, som skrev den bästa dikten, tillägnad Armenien, full av sann kärlek och stolthet. Från denna plats öppnar en fantastisk utsikt till Ararat, förmodligen den mest fantastiska utsikten över det bibliska berget.
Nästa stopp är Garni-templet (77 e.Kr.) – det är det enda stående hedniska templet i hela det postsovjetiska området. Templet står graciöst på en hög platå med utsikt över Azatflodens ravin. Omgivningen i sig är otroligt vacker. Det grekisk-romerska badhuset med mosaiken, gjord av 30 000 bitar av natursten, samt ruinerna av det kungliga palatset, tar dig till 300-talet e.Kr. Inte långt från templet Garni (ca 10 minuters promenad) finns en mysig lokal restaurang med en fantastisk utsikt över templet, där du kan koppla av och delta i en mästerklass av provsmakning av nybakat lavash - traditionellt armeniskt tunnbröd .
Detta majestätiska naturmonument är inte bara en ”måste se” plats i Armenien, men också ”måste ha foton på plats”. Observera* Gästerna kommer att kunna besöka "Symphony of Stones" fram till det första snöfallet.
Klostrets komplex av Geghard är en annan historisk plats som ingår i denna turné. St. Geghard symboliserar lansen med vilken den romerska centurionen piercerade Jesus efter korsifixion. Senare lansen hade förts till Armenien och hölls i Geghard kloster i 5 århundraden. Komplexet presenterar Armenien från 1200-talet, vilket anses vara den guldåldern av landets arkitektur. Den mest förvånande delen av detta komplex är dock dess arkitektoniska lösningskyrkor som borras i den fasta bergstenen som byggdes i enlighet med armenska arkitekturens regler. Geghard kloster ingår i UNESCOs världsarvslista.

Drove on June 14. We're very pleased. The tour is interesting - a lot of information on history, religion, traditions - and it's all accessible, easy to perceive. Guide Rubina talked all the way, answered all the questions exhaustively. The driver was driving us carefully. The car had air conditioning, the water in the fridge - the conditions were perfect. The route was thought out in detail. Despite Sunday and the crowds everywhere, there were no delays or expectations. A nice bonus in the form of local sweets. Definitely recommend travel agency and itinerary.

Superb visit that truly deserves 5/5; nothing to complain about. We do not particularly like guided tours under normal circumstances, but this one was different from the others. First, there is the visit to the arch with a view of Mount Ararat, then the Garni temple, and we had enough time to visit it on our own and with the guide. Then, you visit the symphony of stones: a pleasant little walk along the very nice path. Then the lavash with the ladies who cook it and let us taste it, and at the same place, the guide suggests a cheap restaurant; we paid €14 for two, and there are 4 options, including one vegetarian. It was the birthday of one of the visitors, so we were treated to a cake for dessert! Finally, we went to see the monastery: magnificent! I absolutely recommend this visit as it is perfect for all ages and very dynamic. Thank you to Anastasia the guide who was truly lovely and very pleasant, always with a touch of humor. She also taught us to dance an Armenian dance. Everything was perfect 5/5!! (You might want to take a light jacket for the trip as it can be a bit cold at higher altitudes)
