Nazaré är platsen där vi har de största vågorna i världen, ibland 30 till 32 meter höga
Klostret Santa Maria da Vitória, även kallat Batalha-klostret, är utan tvekan ett av de vackraste verken inom portugisisk och europeisk arkitektur. Denna exceptionella arkitektoniska ensemble var resultatet av uppfyllandet av ett löfte från kung D. João I, som tack för segern i Aljubarrota, ett slag som utkämpades den 14 augusti 1385, som säkrade tronen och garanterade Portugals självständighet. Arbetena pågick i mer än 150 år, genom flera faser av byggandet. Denna varaktighet motiverar existensen, i hans konstnärliga förslag, av Manuelinska (övervägande) gotiska lösningar och en kort renässansanteckning. Flera tillägg infördes i det inledande projektet, vilket resulterade i en stor klosterensemble som för närvarande har en kyrka, två kloster med uthus och två kungliga panteoner, grundarkapellet och de imperfekta kapellen. Nationalmonument, en del av världsarvslistan definierad av UNESCO, sedan 1983.

We used Antonio twice during our stay and found him to be excellent. He went over and above to assist us in every way. His tours were amazing showing us areas not on the typical tourist map. His vehicle was comfortable and he supplied water bottles all day. He was very generous with his time and best of all pointed out bathroom stops at every sight we visited. 10/10 for us!

We did a shorter tour, but that was the charm of it, that we took our time for each place we were at. Antonio was a great guide, and the organization was impeccable. A particularly nice surprise was the local restaurant recommended by Antonio for lunch. Many thanks to Antonio for an unforgettable tour! I recommend 101%

This tour was a highlight of my month stay in Portugal. So happy I found Antonio. As a solo traveler, this was an excellent adventure and I was able to visit some extraordinary places. I highly recommend him to solo and small group travelers. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Omg. The entire day was amazing. Antonio, our guide was so kind and knowledgeable. He made the day very special. The gardens with Buddha are just spectacular. The caves are unbelievable. I would highly highly highly recommend this tour with Antonio. Please request him.

We had a wonderful full day trip with Antonio. Due to forest fire warning in the area we couldn’t do the planned trip, but luckily Antonio has a plan b, which frankly seemed to be even better :)

The trip was so very well organized. Antonio gave us a choice of several stops that had different things to see and visit. Once we made the selections we were off. He took a lot of backroads which had stunning scenery and avoiding traffic jams. Lunch was delicious. Great restaurant with lovely servers! We visited Obidos and walked along the moors castle then took a stroll thru medieval streets. Off to batalha monastery. Beautiful cathedral. Visited Fatima sanctuary and final stop Nazare. This location has beautiful beaches. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend António!

This place is huge and a bit overwhelming. I like the fact that you can you for hourse just gazing at amazing stuff. No need for the train though. Also I would like more guidance - digital - when cruising.
Sintra roads were closed so we were able to reschedule different venues for the day. It was lovely to see other areas of the beautiful countryside

Thanks to Antonio, we were able to visit Nazaré and its surroundings in a very pleasant and comfortable way. All his explanations concerning the places visited brought us a better knowledge of Portugal both culturally, economically and socially. We visited places we would never have gone alone I think.
