Eyre Square, i hjärtat av Galway City, är officiellt känt som John F. Kennedy Memorial Park. En av de finaste medeltida gatorna i Galway, Kirwan's Lane, belägen i vad som nu kallas Latin Quarter. 1845, det var året då Queen's College Galway grundades. Efter uppförandet av den ikoniska Quadrangle-byggnaden öppnade universitetet sina dörrar fyra år senare för den första årskullen på bara 68 studenter.

Clare was delightful. Extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves Galway and is very thorough sharing its history. Answered all our questions. Has a wonderful sense of humor. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a walking tour.
Arthur was amazing! He met us at our hotel lobby and gave us a brief current history of Galway before starting our tour! He was born and raised here and had incredible personal stories that tied in with the community. Arthur was thoughtful, kind, and knowledgeable. We had an absolutely wonderful walking tour of Galway with Arthur McGuire as a family of four! What made the experience so special was how personal it felt. Arthur didn’t simply take us to the usual sights and recite facts—he brought Galway’s history to life through stories, fascinating details, and his own connection to the city. We learned so much about Galway’s history that we never would have discovered on our own. At times, it genuinely felt like we were walking around Arthur’s own neighborhood with a local friend who happened to know an incredible amount about the people, places, and stories that shaped the city. One of the highlights for our daughters was an unexpected side trip to a local bookstore. It was such a thoughtful addition to the tour, and they absolutely loved it.
