Gallipoli Inland och omgivningar Full-Day Bike Tour
Beskrivning
Gallipoli och dess inland har fortfarande kvar spår av den rikedom som lampoljehandeln genererade i århundraden. Första stoppet är vid Alezio för en provsmakning i en ostfarm, sedan åker vi vidare till Tuglie för det fantastiska Radiomuseet (alla föremål, inklusive telegrafer, är fortfarande i fungerande skick!) eller till Museum of Rural Life. På väg tillbaka mot kusten, i naturreservatet Porto Selvaggio, äter vi en picknicklunch (ingår ej) i skuggan av tallskogen och, för de som känner för det, ett uppfriskande dopp i det svala källvattnet. På vägen tillbaka till Gallipoli stannar vi i Santa Caterina för att smaka på en av de bästa glassarna i regionen (de är specialiserade på "salta pistagenötter", "mandel och fikon" och "chokladgrädde"). Vi anländer till Gallipoli vid solnedgången.

Vi börjar här och slutar här. Gallipoli är en fiskarstad som hade sin ära tack vare exporten av olivolja som på medeltiden inte såldes för matändamål utan av en annan anledning och vi låter dig upptäcka vilken!
Vi stannar i denna lilla by för att besöka den underjordiska olivkvarnen från 1600-talet.
Längs sekundära vägar, bland olivträd och lokala konstruktioner av torra stenar (trulli och pajare), når vi Galatone med dess imponerande normandiska slott, krucifixets kyrka - mästerverk av Lecces barockstil - och det ädla palatset.
Porto Selvaggio, är en välbevarad naturpark med klart vatten där det är omöjligt att inte hoppa i! Det finns källor till källvatten som blandas med havsvattnet. Vi stannar för ett dopp och en lunchrast.

Beautiful experience, distances too long for me as I am not athletic.
Small town very nice, historic center on foot, beautiful old houses.beautiful plan on the sea. Beach accessible in the center
Excellent six days' cycling from Lecce with a circular inland and along coast to Gallipoli. GPS navigation very good and lots of opportunities to experience the culture of Puglia as well as take a rest over lunch or enjoy a swim. We are both over seventy ,and though challenging at times , with reasonable level of fitness, we managed the average of 40 miles approx cycling per day . Accommodation throughout was excellent, attentive hosts on hand, plus an excellent briefing before we set out. Salento Bici Tours provided excellent bikes, advice and support throughout our trip.
My wife and I had a fantastic day tour with Gonzo, our guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. A super day of gentle cycling.

We were a group of 10/13 people composed of children and adults, we did more than one excursion with Carlo and his collaborators. Unforgettable day with a group of friends for my bachelor party. We wanted to do some activities rather than the usual relaxation by the sea and couldn't have a better idea. The tour is very easy, all flat and most of the time spread over almost deserted roads. The bikes were brand new and kept very well, comfortable even the bags available to put inside any object. The guide Giulia is fantastic, very nice, connoisseur of the place and attentive manager of the group. The stop at the DonnAnna estate will remain in my heart forever, I expected something "commercial" for the average tourist instead I had to change my mind and we all enjoyed an incredible Processing from morning until evening
