AVOID! This tour was cancelled on the same day by the tour operator with no explanation or apology. It ruined our plans for the day. My advise would be to find something else to do with a reliable tour operator who has respect for their clients.
Great Fika tour. Great host. My advice: Don’t eat much before the tour. Learn about Fika and more! You’ll visit 3 places
Very nice experience! Definitely recommended if you like sweet treats with a story. The host of the tour explains everything well and clearly. Getting to know Swedish culture in a very nice and friendly way through this tour.
It was a great experience. I loved the tour guide. We enjoyed the diversity of treats and the history behind them. Our tour guide was so kind
There were just three of us which made the tour very personal. We learnt a lot about the Swedish culture, about development of Gothenburg and its culinary habits while testing different sweets in different places. It is a very nice tour - pleasant and very informative. I would recommend it as it is also a very good value for the money. Thank you!
Be sure you are ready to eat several pastries AND coffee on this tour! We met Sara for two hours and walked to three different bakeries to taste fika and other Swedish pastries. Fortunately for us the other people didn’t come so we had Sara to ourselves. She is lovely and friendly and a very worldly woman. She explained all the different pastries and how they were named and the history behind them. It’s pretty fascinating! We totally enjoyed our day and time with Sara and if you like sweets then this is the tour for you! Lots of fun. Would definitely recommend.
Sara was so knowledgeable and friendly. We loved learning about the history of fika and the different pastries. We highly recommend this fun and delicious tour!
Authentic afternoon learning about the tradition of sharing Fika - the guide was local and had a fabulous, easy, and fluent way of sharing her love of Gothenburg history, sites, and traditions. I visited many of her recommendations the next day - fabulous!!
This was amazing the pastries were so good. The guide was amazing very informative the other people had cancelled so it was just me very lucky the tour went ahead.
The guide never showed and we waited 20 minutes past the start time. We received confirmation the day before. “Contact Host” chat and telephone calls were never answered. There are plenty of cafes nearby so skip the tour and explore the area yourself.
