Essaouira är en hamnstad och semesterort på Marockos Atlantkust. Dess medina (gamla stan) skyddas av 1700-talsvallar vid havet som kallas Skala de la Kasbah, som designades av europeiska ingenjörer. Besök kvinnokooperativet på väg ner till Essaouira som producerar och säljer den populära Arganoljan, en industri som hoppas kunna stärka kvinnor och lokala producenter i landet. Njut av kustlandskapet och färsk fiskmarknader eller gå in i gamla stan för en titt på fascinerande och livliga souks som säljer ett brett utbud av varor. Utforska medinan och fiskehamnen, de gamla stadsmurarna och vallarna och Mellah - det judiska kvarteret.

Kom ihåg att ta med handduk, solskydd och badkläder om du vill bada senare under dagen. Var i lobbyn kl. 08.00. Föraren bör vara redo för dig. Du ska tas via en 3 timmars bilresa till kuststaden Essaouira. På vägen ska du dock göra två stopp. Första stoppet är på ett café. Där kan du köpa förfriskningar och använda badrummet. Det andra stoppet är vid en liten fabrik där man kan se produktionen av en lokal växtolja som heter argan. Det är bra för huden och håret. Går man från caféet till den lilla fabriken kommer man förhoppningsvis någon gång se getter stå på toppen av träden. De finns ofta, men inte alltid, där.
Vid ankomsten får du se den gamla medinan full av hantverkare på fritiden, gå längs stranden och varje färsk fisk i hamnen. Nedan följer namnen på attraktionerna som vi rekommenderar dig att utforska: 1. Porte de la Marine (a.k.a. Marine Docks) 2. Sqala de la Ville Bastion (a.k.a. Sqala de la Kasbah) 3. Rue Dar Laalouj: en gata med affärer 4. Souk Jdid Market 5. Rue Mohammed Zerktouni: huvudgatan med en livlig marknad 6. Stadsvallarna 7. Essaouira Beach: På den andra sidan av stranden, håll utkik efter ruinerna av försvarsmurar. 8. Sqala du Port Bastion
Vi rekommenderar att du köper lunch runt 13.00 på en valfri restaurang. (observera att lunch inte ingår på dagens tur). Om du vill bada rekommenderar vi att du gör det 14:30. Efteråt bör du vara tillbaka till huvudparkeringsområdet vid 15:30. Din minibuss på väg tillbaka till Marrakech är planerad att gå klockan 16:00. Du bör släppas av vid det stora torget i Marrakech eller på ditt hotell runt 19:00.

This was an incredible day trip! We'd definitely recommend spending the day in Essaouira - it was beautiful and walkable city. Also, we appreciated that the company was flexible to work with us when we had to reschedule the day we booked because of changes in our travel.
The day in Essaouira was really impressive. It’s a lively little town full of cats and seagulls, I think they eat well as there is a seafood market and I love oysters. There is also the beach for sunbathing and swimming. The old city walls give you the impression of being in the past. The city deserves discovery. Thanks to Hossin who organized this trip well for me. The minibus came to my house to pick me up at the beginning and drop me off at the end of the day.
