Resplan

Our tour with Mossie was the highlight of our trip! We were all educated and entertained (ages 14-56)! The thoughtfulness and personal touches Mossie built in to our adventure made the experience extra special. Between identifying “the best” hot chocolate in Dingle, to having a laugh as a new member of our family, our day was unforgettable. Just when you thought you heard the best Mossie story of the day….he would tell you another. He was flexible, creative, adventuresome, and caring. Do. Not. Miss.
Mossie was our guide for a full-day tour of the Dingle Peninsula, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. His knowledge of Irish history is second to none, and his passion for sharing it made the tour both informative and enjoyable. He was also incredibly flexible and willing to customize the day based on our interests, which made the experience even more special. We never felt rushed and were able to spend extra time at the places that interested us most. We highly recommend Mossie to anyone looking to explore the Dingle Peninsula.
It pains me to have to admit that I’ve waited a year to write this review. Mossie deserves so much better. This was, without a doubt, one of the best and most enchanting days of our lives. The weather was so foul, but none of it mattered. Mossie opened our eyes to the beauty of it all and our minds to the historical context of it all. He is a treasure and a joy to spend time with. We’re already talking about returning and coaxing him into doing a full week around the country tour. I’ve told everyone who asks: if you’re going to Dingle, seek out no one else. It doesn’t get any better.
Mossie, Lori and I wanted to thank you for such a beautiful day. Your kindness and humor will stay with us for a lifetime. We truly felt we made a lifetime friend. Blessings to you and Helen, Brian and Lori Horn
It’s not an exaggeration to say that this incredible day we spent with Mossie was THE HIGHLIGHT of our entire wonderful week in Ireland. He took us to hidden gems we never would have had been able to see without him. His wealth of knowledge was only matched by his sense of humor and the passion he shares with his guests. We were entertained, fascinated, touched, and amazed by the experiences he related, the places he took us, and the scenery around us. His own memories lent a personal touch that we treasured and will never forget. Please be sure you include Mossie’s Tours in your trip to Ireland. There simply is no one better. Chef’s kiss.
The highlight of our wonderful trip to Ireland! Mossie knows everything about the area (geographically, historically, etc) and is very engaging and a great storyteller. Make sure he tells you about his own upbringing on a farm in the area. An extra kindness: I realized about an hour after our tour ended that I had left a shirt in the van. Mossie was kind enough to deliver it to us at the pub where we were having post-tour pints!
Mossie is the consummate guide, with very safe driving skills and an impressive knowledge base. Our day flew by as he catered our drive tour to our desires and physical capabilities. We could not have asked for more.
My wife, daughter, and I did a full day trip with Helen as our guide on the Dingle Peninsula this past July. Helen was a fabulous guide. She is a safe, concientious driver and she kindly picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in Brandon. We wanted to see the captivating views on the coast, walk on a beach, and see some historical and archaeological sites, as well as visit the Blasket Centre museum, and we got to do all of that. Helen thoughtfully helped us decide what exactly to do and she was full of interesting information and stories. She was the perfect guide for us. Helen was very good with our daughter, who is 11 years old and loves animals, and helped us ensure that she had a good trip full of interesting adventures. The weather was cloudy and misty with some rain but that was what we were expecting and Helen took us to a sandy beach for a nice stroll during one of the relative dry periods of the day. My family and I are Americans who are proud of our Irish heritage and I'm grateful that Helen taught us so much about this part of Ireland and its natural environment, vibrant Gaeltacht culture, and long history, including how its people were affected by the Great Famine. I highly recommend Helen as a guide for anyone who is interested in a deep, immersive type of experience. I am fluent in Irish and I greatly enjoyed chatting as Gaeilge with Helen, who is a native Irish speaker from this area and a gifted conversationalist in Irish and English. To spend a day exploring this magnificent corner of the world with a kind, erudite local guide such as Helen was a once-in-a-lifetime type of experience for my family and I but we are planning on doing it again the next time we visit Ireland.
Mossie was an incredible tour guide. Loved having a tour with him as he grew up in the area and his first hand knowledge of the area and history added another level of an already great tour. We saw some incredible views, learned some interesting history and Mossie was one of the best tour guides we have ever had.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND the full day private tour of Slea Head and the Dingle Peninsula with Mossie’s Tours! It was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. In fact we did several tours and wished Mossie had been our guide for all of them! Mossie’s kindness, humor, knowledge, passion, historical insights, and personal stories of growing up and living there made it feel less like a tour and more like exploring the area with a local friend. Mossie tailored the stops to our interests and ensured we saw all the not-to-miss sights like Connor Pass, Coumeenoole Beach, Dun Chaoin Pier, the beehive huts, Gallarus Oratory, and the stunning views of the Irish countryside and coastal vistas along the Wild Atlantic Way. He even shared a few of his favorite hidden gems that we never would have seen on our own like a hike up to a glacial lake with a waterfall that was absolutely breathtaking. Other highlights included enjoying lunch with Mossie at a great local pub (which of course included a Guinness or two), holding a baby sheep, and he even arranged a special sheepdog demonstration that was amazing! More than just a tour, Mossie made this a very special and exceptional experience of a lifetime for our family that we’ll treasure forever.
