Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation är det äldsta och största rehabiliteringscentret för orangutanger i världen. Detta centrum omfattar 4294 hektar. Kabili–Sepilok Forest är ett jungelreservat rikt på tropisk regnskog och mangroveträsk. Den grundades 1964 med avsikten att rehabilitera föräldralösa orangutanger och släppa ut dem tillbaka i naturen. Snabelapor på Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, där du kan uppleva garderobsmötet. Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center är det första centret för bevarande av solbjörnar i världen. Solbjörnen (även känd som honungsbjörnen) är den minsta björnen i världen. Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation är den äldsta och den största Orang Utan Rehabilitering i världen där detta centrum täcker 4294 hektar Kabili – Sepilok Forest är ett jungelreservat rikt på tropisk regnskog och mangroveträsk. Det var en tidning 1964 som ett syfte att rehabilitera den föräldralösa Baby Orang Utan tillbaka till det vilda.
20 minuters bilresa till Labuk Bay Proboscis Sanctuary för att fånga matningen kl. 11.30 av Proboscis Monkeys vid Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary som faktiskt ligger 38 km från Sandakan City och det är beläget i centrum av mangroveskogen samt nära havet. De vilda snabelaporna kommer ut från mangrovevegetationen för att äta eftersom maten kommer att serveras på deras egen utfodringsplattform. Detta är den enda platsen på Borneo där möjligheten att se denna apa på mycket nära håll. Normalt kommer 3 till 5 grupper av snabelapor ut för att mata. Silver Leaf Monkey och Hornbill kanske kan ses i helgedomen

Se intressanta 250 utställningar av växter och en 150 meter lång gångväg med baldakin ger en spektakulär utsikt över den frodiga regnskogen i Sepilok från 25 meter över marken. The orangutan sanctuary was disappointing for us as my friend had been and there was a lot more close up encounters with the orangutans as they appeared and walked on the walk boards. For us we just saw them in the nursery and feeding and so no different to the zoo. Whilst I appreciate what the sanctuary is doing and well done to them the experience wasn’t what I was expecting. Be prepared as it’s very busy ! It’s also very hot and humid so be prepared for that. Great experience walking through the rain forest canopy
An excellent tour to see the different animals of Borneo. Orangutan feeding at 10am is amazing to watch, though understandably busy. Take lots of water. The RDC was good, and far less busy, but the animals are by far the attraction here. The sun bears and proboscis monkeys were amazing also!

Such a fun experience! It was just my family and the guide, so we were able to go at our own pace. Our guide timed things so we could see feedings for the Orangatans, proboscis monkeys and the unbearable. We saw so much animal action. And our guide Jackie was awesome. Really friendly, really knowledgeable, and so good at spotting horned bills, snakes etc.
There are so many orangutans! My cell phone camera’s zoom didn’t take great pictures, but the in-person views were great. Bring water because it is hot! No bags are allowed to be carried because the orangutans may try to steal your stuff!

Very friendly guide and driver. We were the only people on the tour, so a private tour for 2! Our guide's English was sometimes hard to understand but he was very informative and helpful. At the end of the day, during the trail through the jungle, my phone fell out of my pocket, through slats on the walkway and into the lake below. I thought it was gone for sure but our guide Jackie knows the rangers well (as he does tours most days) and 2 ranges went wading in, with one going completely under with goggles and all, for about 15 minutes until he found the phone in the muddy lake bed. Unbelievable! And he pulled it out in full working condition (I am writing this review using the same phone). Really impressed by the friendliness, willingness and generally going well above the call of duty by all concerned. Thank you. A traumatic but positive end to a wonderful day full of sights and sounds in the jungle. Highly recommended.
Faisal was an experienced, knowledgeable and outgoing guide. We were at the right places at the right times. We skipped the rainforest research center due to weather. Our choice. Monkeys were worth it, even if a bit away. Even saw an hornbill fairly close.
