För att börja din Giverny och Monet's Garden Bike Tour kommer du att resa från Paris till den pittoreska staden Vernon, som ligger i Normandie. På vägen passerar du vackra vete- och solrosfält, långt från Paris liv och rörelse. Vi kommer att göra vårt första stopp på utomhusmarknaden i Vernon. Här kan du njuta av en mängd lokala specialiteter, såsom cider, och organisera din picknickkorg för den perfekta lunchen vid floden. Vi kommer sedan att hämta våra cyklar och njuta av en enkel kryssning från Giverny till Monets berömda egendom. Vi stannar längs floden Seine för en picknicklunch bredvid en pittoresk kvarn, samtidigt som vi njuter av en hisnande utsikt över den franska landsbygden. Du kommer att ha gott om tid att utforska Monets trädgårdar och hem i Giverny, och sedan kommer vi att njuta av en lugn tur tillbaka till Vernon innan vi återvänder till Paris. Transport tur och retur till och från centrala Paris gör denna dagstur till dessa speciella trädgårdar till en bris!

En gång i Vernon kan du besöka den charmiga bondens marknad för att köpa picknickartiklar. Du hoppar sedan på din cykel och trampar över floden till en vacker park längs Seine-stranden för lunch. Vid lunchen kan du också prova den lokala favoritdrinken: cidre.
Då är det dags för din avkopplande 5 kilometer (3 mil) åka ner cykelvägen till byn Giverny och den världsberömda trädgården i Claude Monet. Kryssa förbi Giverny-kyrkan och dess kyrkogård med gravar av lokala medborgare som går tillbaka till 1600-talet, brittiska soldater från andra världskriget och till och med Monet själv begravda i familjens valv. Du kommer att passera Hotel Baudy, där impressionisterna Manet och Renoir brukade måla. Snart kommer du till dagens höjdpunkt - Monet's Garden Tillbring cirka 1,5 timmar och njut av Monets trädgårdar, hans hus och det berömda näckrosdammet där några av hans mest berömda verk har sitt ursprung. Se till att ta med din kamera och massor av film! Dessutom erbjuder byn Giverny dig American Museum of Art (tvärs över gatan från Monet's Gardens), många kaféer och små gator som tigger att utforskas.

This experience was the highlight of my trip. The bike ride was so much fun! Everything about it was excellent: the picnic, the bike ride, Monet's house and gardens! Our tour guide, Amir, was amazing!

I traveled with my 16 year old daughter and we both LOVED our day!! The tour guide was exceptional!! The bus ride was easy and comfortable with terrific insight about Monet along the way. The day was perfect, just enough biking through the beautiful scenery, market had just enough for a picnic, nice cafe in the area, and the Monet gardens were breath taking. This was an incredible way to visit Vernon, Giverny and Claude Monet’s home. The transportation was comfortable, the historical information and context set the stage perfectly, the bike ride was leisurely and beautiful, and the group entry to the museum meant we were able to bypass the long line at the regular entrance. We were given plenty of time to explore and wander on our own, which I really appreciated. We were able to patronize independent vendors at the local market in Vernon and the guides pointed out so many interesting things in the region - historical churches and building, remnants and evidence of WWII battles, local geography and culture. I absolutely loved the tour, and our guides were perfect!

Tobias and Oljean were great guides. The bike trip was at a good pace for most. Be prepared to use Euro in the marketplace where you buy lunch for your picnic. Monet Gardens were beautiful and crowded. This trip got us in a priority entrance bypassing the line. The home was beautiful and filled with art and household objects. The giftshop has A/C which was needed during the heatwave. Ended the visit with ice cream and the ride back was relatively easy. They provided helmets and vests fir those who wanted them. The bikes (3-speed with basket) were in good mechanical order and fairly comfortable. The bus back to Paris was a relaxing end.

Rory and Toby were excellent guides. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Safe, easy route… the market was lovely and we were happy up to find vegan Lebanese food there for our picnic. The gardens were divine. 10/10 worth every penny and I would do a trip like this again,

Rides in paris suck. If I miss my appointed time at the Louvre I will be pissed.
