Denna tur börjar klockan 07:00 Det tar uppskattningsvis 45 minuter att lämna Mérida. Efteråt stannar vi vid en närbutik så att du kan köpa vatten och snacks inför resan. Klockan 8:00 är vi på väg till vår första destination, Chichén Itzá, som ligger 2 timmars bilresa bort.
Vid ankomsten till den arkeologiska platsen kan du köpa biljetter för inträde till platsen (det är viktigt att nämna att denna inträdesbiljett inte ingår och måste betalas vid ankomst kontant med mexikanska pesos eller med kort). Två timmar ägnas åt att besöka den arkeologiska platsen i sällskap med guiden. De viktigaste monumenten besöks i följande ordning: Caracol-observatoriet, ossuariet, marknaden, gruppen med tusen kolonner, slottet, Maya-bollplanen, Tzompantli, Venusplattformen och den heliga cenoten.
Sedan kliver vi på lastbilen och beger oss till Ik Kil cenote, som ligger 15 minuters bilresa bort. Du kommer in direkt med de armband som guiden tillhandahåller. Här har du skåp för att förvara dina ägodelar. Du har totalt 1 och en halv timme på plats, fördelat på 15 minuter att byta om, 1 timme att simma och 15 minuter att byta om igen (viktigt att ta med handduk).
Nästa stopp ligger 15 minuter bort och är restaurangen på Hacienda Yay Beh D´Cámara där du har 1 timme på dig att äta en utsökt buffé med en mängd olika mexikanska rätter. Mat ingår med en dryck (smaksatt färskvatten).
Slutligen beger vi oss till Izamal, som ligger 1 timmes bilresa bort. Vi tar en guidad rundtur i den magiska staden, och besöker klostret och det stora torget, känd som de tre kulturernas stad, eftersom det kombinerar statens pre-spansktalande och koloniala historia samtidigt som det speglar det samtida livet. När du går genom dess gator kommer du att lägga märke till en mycket märklig detalj, eftersom alla hus är målade gula och vita. Här har du 20 minuters förklaring med guiden och 40 minuters fritid i huvudparken.
Vi avslutar turen vid samma mötesplats där vi hämtade dig på morgonen. Mellan 18:30 och 19:00 Restiden till och från Mérida är 1 timme från Izamal.

Vi kommer att kontakta dig en dag innan via WhatsApp för att skicka dig rekommendationer om turen och påminna dig om avgångstiden. Passagerare går ombord på fordonet i den ordning de anlände till kontoret, så det rekommenderas att anlända cirka 10 minuter före klockan 07:00.

They were very punctual with departures and arrivals, our guide Jonny was very cool, attentive, and takes the best photos!👌🏼 The tour is very well put together; at Chichén Itzá you do suffer from the heat, but with the stop at the cenote you cool off very well. The cenote is one of the best I have visited (clean and well-maintained facilities) and the food is very good and plentiful! You do have to bring a lunch for breakfast.

With heavy heart I have to say that unfortunately we did not enjoy this tour. We decided to book with Colibrì because of the high reviews and the fact it included both Chichén Itzá and Cenote Ik Kil, which we really wanted to visit. Travelling by ADO and not having a car meant that we had to rely on a tour. We didn’t imagine, however, that this would penalise us and lessen our experience of the archeological site. This wasn’t our first site tour in Mexico and, although it was supposed to be the most special, it has also been the poorest. Time was not managed, in my opinion, correctly and with less than 2 hours within the site we found ourselves running in extreme heat to exit the site (just the walk back to the entrance takes 20/30 minutes) to reach the meeting point. This happened not because we wasted time, but merely because we wanted to try and explore the entirety of the site. The guided tour only touched the sacred Cenote, Kukulcan temple and juego de la pelota court with no free time left (we had to walk away from the guide once realised we only had 30 minutes left). It is a pity because we will never get our time back and it was cut short… not allowing us to make the most of a very steep entrance ticket. To make matters worse, the stop in Izamal was way to long (even more so as we were caught in torrential rain and made to get off anyway), I wish that time would been allocated to more free time in Chichén Itzá. I think Izamal could just be a photo stop. I cannot say how this tour compares to others in the area but I can say that if I could do it all over again I would try to find a different solution. Unfortunately it was a true disappointment. A point in their favour is that everything advertised has in fact been offered day of.

Excellent, it is a tour that requires energy because there are several activities, everything well organized, the transportation comfortable, the places are wonderful but it is made better by learning and understanding it thanks to the information they share with us. We enjoyed it from beginning to end. Many thanks to Jorge and Diego, 10/10, they make the trip entertaining, always attentive; we would definitely take a tour with them again.

The food was terrible, and the guide did not know as much about the site as you’d expect. The guide did not stop whistling for the entire time we were in the van which drove everyone out of their minds. The whistling started at 7am and did not stop until we got back. I literally can’t describe how annoying it was. The organization was nice to get to various sites but we didn’t have much time at Chichen Itza either. It’s probably better to just rent a car and do it all on your own, especially if you want to see all of Chichen Itza.
