Från Albir, Benidorm & Calpe : Valencia dagstur

Beskrivning

Obviously, Valencia is lovely and overall, the trip was worth it. One surprising thing was how many extra pick-up locations we had and how long we waited for people to board the coach in some of them. The entire pick-up route took over 1.5 hours, which, if you add the 2 hours of transfer to Valencia, add up to a nearly 4-hour trip. The toilet on the coach is closed and there are no scheduled pee breaks. What’s shocking is the reaction of the guide to toilet break requests. I was basically intimidated into holding it in („We are leaving now, get back to your seat, there’s no toilet on the coach and no toilet breaks until Valencia). Only after two other people made similar request did we stop somewhere random and told to use the facilities in a bar, but only if we buy something there. About half the bus ran for the toilets. It seems to me that if the bus company can stop off at 7 different locations to pick people up, it can also organise a 10-minute scheduled pee break somewhere tried and tested halfway through the trip.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our pickup run from start to finish is 1 hour, this may be exended if there are roadworks, traffic problems or delays in people getting on the coach and finding their seats. It is a legal requirement here to remain seated at all times, with your seatbelt fastened while the vehicle is in motion and so the toilet facilities on board are not to be used. To arrange a 10 minute stop as you state, actually takes some 25-30 minutes real time, by the time passengers have got on and off the coach, entered the service etc. It is not just a 10 minute quick break as you state. That then puts an additional 30 minutes on to what is already a long day. All passengers making such a long journey should not be surprised by the length of the journey or the fact we collect other passengers, but indeed ensure that they are prepared for the journey ahead. Please consider if a potential long journey is for you and if you are a person who needs a regular "pee break" you may want to ask at the time of booking, if this is considered by the excursion company.
We (4 adults) were holidaying in Benidorm and decided to book a trip out , we chose to go Valencia , the coach was basic but adequate, air con was ok but no toilet we thought we might struggle with that for a journey over a hour but we managed ok and were encouraged to use toilets whenever we got chance , we got to Valencia and chose the football stadium tour , we had a couple of hours to kill before our tour time of 2.30pm so we used this time to explore the city there is a lot to see and do , 2.30 came and we was off to the stadium tour which was quite good maybe a bit rushed and disappointed not to go into the souvineer shop , but straight after the tour we was off back to Benidorm , we had a great day out and thought it was well worth the money .
Really good trip, only issue is there was not a toilet on the coach and I would expect one on a journey of over 2 hours. All of us got off the coach and queued in a little cafe to use their 2 toilets for €1. Lovely guide though & enjoyed it!
Lovely host on the coach, and walking tour guide was very friendly and informative.
Everything was great! Very well organised! Great guide in the bus and in the city! It was a very hot day, but they know how to make it great!
The experience itself was good, the guide Katia was very nice and thorough, the excursion in the historic center was a bit boring, and the constant jokes during the explanation were unnecessary. I must say that in terms of price, it was convenient for the entire tour we did, but it was a pity not to have seen the stadium!
An excursion worth visiting this city. The old town with all its historic buildings is very worthwhile. We did a guided tour during the excursion and enjoyed it very much. Worth repeating but then an extra long weekend to see the whole city
Excellent trip to Valencia and footy ground today. Real eye opener. Well done to all involved. Will be back again.
We booked this day trip package with no prior knowledge and no real idea what to expect. The coach picked us up from our resort and Leisa, our guide, provided a fantastic amount of information on Valencia, along with options of specific things to do once there. We decided to go exploring ourselves in the morning, and to take part in the aquarium visit in the afternoon. All times were very clearly provided, and it allowed us to stretch our legs and enjoy something a bit different to the usual. I want to make a special mention to our guide, Leisa, who was excellent and really helpful, and to Alberto, who navigated the coach very skillfully through some very tough traffic at times! All in all, very highly recommended, giving us a glimpse into the magic of Valencia! The only negative is that you physically cannot see it all in the time that you're there, but there's always next time..
Really recommended to go to Valencia with them. Very nice tour guide, Kathy, got good and clear information in the bus. And a very nice walk in the city with the guide Sergio made. He has shown nice and beautiful places.
