Sarnath är en vacker buddhistisk plats och anses vara en av de mest heliga bland fyra olika platser som är förknippade med Buddhas liv. Idag är denna plats översållad med flera buddhistiska tempel, ett platsmuseum och arkeologiska lämningar. Du får veta om buddhismens filosofi, berättelser om Buddhas tidigare födelse (Jataka-sagorna) och så många andra saker relaterade till denna plats.

Vi kommer att besöka Mool Gandh Kuti Vihara-templet, som byggdes av 'Mahabodhi Society' baserat på Sri Lanka. Detta tempel har vackra väggmålningar målade av en japansk konstnär. I detta tempel finns även Buddhas reliker, som ställs ut offentligt under 3 dagar i november.
Vi kommer att besöka denna arkeologiska park som har rester av gamla buddhistiska kloster och många stupor.
Vi kommer att besöka platsmuseet som inrymmer Indiens nationella emblem, en av de vackraste bilden av Buddha och några andra mycket viktiga och betydelsefulla skulpturer.
Denna plats har resterna av Ashokan-pelaren som också innehåller inskriptionen på palispråk och brahmi. Denna pelare hade en lejonhuvudstad med fyra lejon stående rygg mot rygg, som antogs som Indiens nationella emblem efter självständigheten.

Karan is incredibly smart and charismatic. What sets him apart from other tours is that he doesn’t just explain India and Varanasi but mostly importantly he was explaining things with a comparative approach against other cultures which shows his understanding and knowledge of not only India but also the rest of the world. Highly recommended! I took a tour with Karan to Sarnath. It was very good experience. This tour was really worthwhile, Karan organised everything for us from buying our museum tickets to grabbing us a delicious coconut drink/snack for the journey home. He was very well-informed and answered every question we had. We came away with a much better understanding of Buddhism in general, thanks to his in-depth explanations. Karan was also very considerate when we asked to postpone the original booking after we had a difficult night’s sleep. Would highly recommend!

It was very easy to understand, and they even came to pick me up at my hotel! After watching the puja, we took a boat ride to sightsee on the river! They explained a lot of things to me, so it was easy to understand! If you come to Varanasi, please give it a try as it's a great deal at 100 rupees!
