Done the tour today 28/3/26 and had the pleasure of meeting our driver guide Jimmy , I have done a lot of tours around the world and I can say without contradiction that the tour of the peace wall and murals with Jimmy was by far the best I have ever experienced. His knowledge and friendly attitude was a pleasure to experience, my grandson accompanied me on the tour his first time in Belfast and it’s one he won’t forget, Jimmy’s engagement with him was a joy to see , I would highly recommend anyone that takes the taxi tour in Belfast request Jimmy , I can assure you you’ll not regret it. Thank you Jimmy for the tour , as I’ve said best tour guide/ driver ever .
I did the Peace Wall political tour in Belfast with Jimmy and it was honestly one of the most powerful experiences of my trip. Jimmy was incredibly knowledgeable, but what made the tour stand out was how personal and balanced it felt. He didn’t just give dates and facts — he brought the history of the Troubles to life in a way that felt human, complex and deeply moving. You could tell this wasn’t just information to him, it was lived experience and community memory. Standing at the Peace Wall and hearing the stories behind the murals gave me a much deeper understanding of Belfast’s past and present. The tour never felt sensationalised or one-sided. It was thoughtful, respectful and emotionally intelligent. If you’re visiting Belfast and want to understand the city beyond the surface, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. It’s not just sightseeing — it’s perspective-shifting.
