Du hämtas från ditt boende och överförs till tågstationen. Din engelsktalande förare hjälper dig med incheckningen och väntar tills du går ombord på tåget till Krakow. Efter en tågresa kommer du att välkomnas av en lokal engelsktalande förare och starta din tur via delad transport till Auschwitz. Guidad grupptur i Auschwitz och Birkenau varar till 3,5 timmar. Du kommer att lära dig Lär dig mer om den tragiska historien om Förintelsen. Sedan avgår du Auschwitz-Birkenau för en 1,5-timmars resa till Krakow. Du kommer att ha tre timmars ledig tid att se Main Market Square i Krakow, det största medeltida gamla torget i Europa. Du kommer att se huvudmarknadstorget i Krakow, det största medeltida gamla torget i Europa. I Gamla stan kan du också hitta Wawel-kullen - med katedralen och det kungliga slottet (tills 1611 Wawel var den formella säten för polsk monarki - det var platsen för kungliga kröningar), rådhustornet, St. Marys basilika, Krakow Barbican och Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), tusentals barer och underbara regionala restauranger, många historiska byggnader och hästdrivna hytter.
Koncentrationslägret i Auschwitz grundades av tyska nazister i utkanten av staden Oswiecim 1940. Efter kriget förvandlades lägret till museum som visar bevis på folkmordet. Block nr. 11, känd som Death Block, var där människor mördades också vid "Wall of Death". Utanför lägret finns en gaskammare, där 70 000 människor dödades 1940-1943. 1941, 3 kilometer från Oswiecim, i den tidigare byn Brzezinka, etablerade de tyska nazisterna ett nytt läger kallat Auschwitz II Birkenau. 1942-1945 har ca. 1,5 miljoner människor levde och dog här. De flesta av dem (90 %) var judar, andra var polacker, zigenare, ryssar och fångar från 28 länder i Europa, människor av alla nationaliteter och politiska och religiösa övertygelser. Sedan 1944 kom transporter av fångar från hela kontinenten in direkt genom "Dödens port". 1979 listades koncentrationslägret Auschwitz – Birkenau på Unescos världskultur- och nationalarvslista.

The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and she was a trooper to walk, talk and smile in the mix of a horrible and humid day. The taxi driver they got last minute was great but he could not speak English, we were cramped in a sedan for the entire tour, lunch was missing and the people I share the Taxi from from Krakow to the concentration camp was different by 100 Euros, the driver was good but almost 4 hours in the back of a sedan was too much. The initial driver had an inconvenient event and I was waiting for 40 minute to get someone, I have to call twice and despite the fact I was 20 minutes early, nobody apologize. Highlight was the young guy picking me up from the hotel a 6:10m he walked with me to the Centralia Warsaw station and explained everything to me and ensured I was on the right train to Krakow, he was a sweetheart, he was also waiting for me when I arrived at 11:10 PM and drove me to my hotel. Also please ensure you check you Viator text messages as they start communication the afternoon before, but I did not get any email notification and I was answering late.

However, we are deeply sorry that the logistics of your trip from Krakow did not live up to our standards. We owe you a sincere apology for the 40-minute delay and the lack of proactive communication and apologies at that moment. Our initial driver experienced a sudden, serious vehicle breakdown on his way to you. While we scrambled to find a last-minute replacement to ensure you didn't miss the tour, we clearly failed to manage the situation comfortably for you.We understand that the car was not comfortable enough but as it was emergency situation it was better to use it and not loose the visit in Auschwitz. As regards the lunch, we had the information from you too late. We asked to give us the information till 8:00pm the day before the tour and we received your reply at 5:00am on the day tour so there was no possibility to organize the lunch.
This was one of the best day trips we’ve ever taken and an experience we’ll never forget. Everything was well organized, transportation was comfortable, and the schedule was executed flawlessly. We began the day in Kraków, which is an absolutely beautiful city filled with history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. We had enough free time to walk through the Old Town, enjoy a delicious meal, and soak in the atmosphere. I only wish we had more time because Kraków is a destination that deserves a visit of its own. From there, we traveled to Auschwitz-Birkenau. It was an incredibly moving and sobering experience—one that everyone should witness at least once. Walking through the grounds and learning about the events that took place there is something that will stay with us forever. Our guide was outstanding: knowledgeable, respectful, and compassionate, presenting the history with the dignity it deserves. A huge thank you to our driver and tour guide for making such a long day comfortable, informative, and seamless. Their professionalism and organization were exceptional from start to finish. If you’re visiting Poland and only have time for one day trip, this is the one to book. It’s a long day, but every moment is worth it.

Great an Amazing experience from the start to finish. I even made a life time friend with Stanislaw B. - This is a Must do if you have a full day. You will learn lots about history and how the Jews and many other people got mistreated-imprisoned-tortured-killed-gassed killed. I highly recommend this tour and this company.
