The departure did not take place. I arrived at the site at the indicated time, and no one showed up, nor did Viator inform me of the cancellation of the excursion. I still do not have an explanation for why.
Lamentamos sinceramente la situación que describe y entendemos perfectamente su malestar. No obstante, estos días no hemos tenido ninguna cancelación de la excursión desde Santiago de Compostela a Lugo, Ribadeo y Playa de las Catedrales. Además, siempre que modificamos la fecha, el horario o cualquier aspecto de una actividad, contactamos con todos los clientes por WhatsApp para informarles. Por este motivo, nos resulta especialmente extraño que no haya recibido ninguna comunicación por parte de nuestra empresa. Le agradeceríamos que nos contactase por WhatsApp, indicándonos su nombre completo, la fecha de la reserva, la excursión contratada y el punto de salida indicado. De este modo podremos localizar su reserva, comprobar qué ocurrió exactamente y ofrecerle una explicación. Queremos aclarar esta incidencia cuanto antes, ya que podría tratarse de un problema con la reserva, el punto de encuentro o la información facilitada por la plataforma.
Lugo is beautiful. It is full of history and wonderful sites. Ribadeo is not worth the stop to eat. Cathedral Beaches is amazing. Beautiful rock formations and very peaceful. I was not pleased with the tour guide. Too young and inexperienced. We left late because she didn't think that the bus that was there was for us because it was too big for our group size. Also, she insisted on waiting for 3 people who were late and never showed up. When we arrived at each location, she didn't even allow a bathroom break. She went straight to the plaza, gave instructions, and then we used the bathrooms. Really don't recommend.
We are sincerely sorry that the experience did not fully meet your expectations, although we are pleased to know that you particularly enjoyed Lugo and the Cathedral Beaches, two of the highlights of this excursion. Regarding the stop in Ribadeo, as you correctly mention, it is mainly a logistical stop designed to give travelers enough time to have lunch and rest before continuing to the Cathedral Beaches. Due to the structure of the itinerary, travel times, and access schedules, we need to use Ribadeo as the main point for this break. With regard to our guide, we would like to clarify that all members of our team have experience in group management, tour coordination, and customer care. We understand that each traveler may have a different perception of a guide’s style, age, or way of communicating, but we do not believe that being young necessarily means being unprepared or unprofessional. As for the delayed departure, we are sorry that the wait caused you inconvenience. However, we also kindly ask for some understanding and empathy toward the other participants. On our tours, we usually allow approximately five minutes of courtesy for travelers who may have experienced a minor unexpected delay when reaching the meeting point. We believe it is reasonable to offer this short grace period before leaving behind passengers who have booked and paid for the same activity. In any case, our aim is always to respect the scheduled times as closely as possible and to prevent this courtesy period from affecting the overall itinerary. Regarding bathroom breaks, our guides must coordinate the timing of each stop and first provide the group with the necessary information about schedules, meeting points, and how the visit will proceed. Nevertheless, we have taken note of your comment and will remind our team of the importance of clearly informing travelers about the available facilities at each location. We wanted to visit the beach of the cathedrals, and this small tour does it very well. An hour and a half at each of the three locations (Beach of the Cathedrals, Ribadeo, and Lugo) and a bus between each place. The guides are very good, very pleasant in their explanations. Ribadeo has the attraction of the houses of the indianos, modeled after American colonial style. Lugo, the Roman wall that remains intact. It is very nice for spending the day outside of Santiago.

Natural.scenery was spectacular. Worth going. Although there was supposed to be an english speaking guide, our guides, english was not particularly good. There were many times when none of the english speaking clientele could understand her.
