Från München: Königssee Boat Ride & Berchtesgadens saltgruva

Vi startar i våra moderna bussar och når de gröna landskapen från delstaten Bayern med de majestätiska alperna. Den idylliska smaragdgröna sjön Königssee ligger i sydöstra delstaten Bayern, i södra Tyskland. Det ligger vid foten av det berömda berget Watzmann i hjärtat av Berchtesgadens alpina nationalpark. I den avkopplande överfarten med elektrisk båt till den idylliska ön St. Bartholomew kommer du inte bara att höra det imponerande ekot utan du kommer också att lära dig intressanta fakta om själva bergssjön. Resan ger dig tid att vandra och njuta av det vackra landskapet. På kvällen, bara några minuter från sjön, besöker vi saltgruvan i Berchtesgaden. Den är i kontinuerlig drift sedan 1517. Klädd som i gamla tiders gruvutrustning börjar du den spännande turen genom saltberget med att åka in på gruvtåget. Till höjdpunkterna räknar vi gruvarbetarnas rutschbanor, en flotttur över den underjordiska "Mirror Lake" och Salt Cathedral.

Not a lot of time allowed at the boat trip destination. The salt mine is a very interesting tour, but some aspects might not be for everyone. I would have appreciated an advance review of what to expect

Johnny was a fantastic tour guide! Be aware that there are no photos allowed inside the salt mine per government regulations, which was a little disappointing, but still an amazing experience nonetheless!

The Salt Mine Tour was excellent , well worth doing. The Tour Guide was informative and had a great sense of humour which made the experience very enjoyable. On to the boat trip which was not as good as the Guide spoke no English so we got no information. We waited around for the Guide to collect the tickets only to be told we had no time to eat which was a bit much and just badly organised. The Island was busy and uneventful. Could not get food as no time due to having to queue to get back and the Restaurant had water supply issues. The positive was the scenery was magic. Our Guide was not the best and made the trip uneventful.

Let me first start with good news. The salt mine is an amazing experience and the Koeningsee is beautiful. So well worth it. However, had the most terrible guide. The way the day is structured is you go to the mine and then get to Koeningsee around 12:30 and take the boat. At the start of the day, I asked the guide what the plan was for lunch. She said schedule is tight so won’t be able to sit down, will have to grab and go. She told us basically we couldn’t eat lunch. We get to Koeningsee and there are literally 20 eating spots!!! She made us wait 20 minutes while she got tickets which would have been enough time for us to grab something if she would have just told us. The boat is every 15 minutes. With a small amount of forethought and planning, she could have said - “we are here. I will get tickets. Boat is in half hour, you all go grab something to eat”. That is what a few of us ended up doing anyway but the fact that it wasn’t planned that way or that her whole plan was for us to go the whole day without food was ridiculous. People in my group were furious. Only benefit if doubt I will give her was she was probably attempting to get us to on the boat asap so we could have more time at St Bartomolow’s but truthfully 15 minutes wouldn’t make that much difference and having a group of hangry people is just bad management. If I have to figure stuff out myself why do I need a guide?? Absolutely worst experience.

Fantastic day trip! I had just travelled much of this distance on the prior day (coming in to Munich via train from Salzburg) and was worried I would find driving back there on the bus tedious but it wasn't at all! Our guide was soo interesting that I didn't notice. I went on this trip to see the lake but the salt mine exceeded my expectations and was a lot of fun. The lake was beautiful and a very tranquil and restful afternoon. Highly recommend this trip!

This operator is harsh on participants and they forfeited ALL tour fee us your are 3 minutes late. Bearing in mind I am not buying a bus ticket. I joined a tour. Operator should at least contact me before you leave your customers and go away. I did contact the operator and travel broker and they all discharge their reasonable due care and consideration

Our tours operate on a tight schedule with pre-booked time slots for activities such as boat rides and salt mine entries, which leave very little room for delays. In fairness to all guests who arrive on time, we must begin our tours as scheduled — even a few minutes' delay can impact the entire day’s itinerary and create disadvantages for the rest of the group. We always recommend arriving at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before departure to allow for check-in and unforeseen circumstances. While we understand how frustrating this situation must have been, we hope for your understanding and would be happy to welcome you again in the future under better circumstances.
We left at 08:30 in the morning and returned on time at 19:00 in the evening. The ride was great. The salt mine was very interesting, The Königssee with Bartholomew was fantastically beautiful.

The day out with our guides Hanae and Enva was amazing. They even put on the weather. Ou r highlight wass the salt mine and the trumpeter on Lake Kongissee. Highly recommend this tour to everyone. The scenery is spectacular.
