Ser du den stora röda bojen rakt fram? Det är svårt att missa, eftersom det är det sista du ser innan havet. Detta markerar den sydligaste punkten i kontinentala USA! På sätt och vis. Låt mig förklara. OBS: Turen är över 100 + miles lång, med mer än 70 + ljudberättelser, och tar ca 2 - 3 timmar att slutföra. Nytt, livstidsåtkomst, ingen utgång. The Historic Cedar House kommer upp på vår högra sida. Det är ganska svårt att missa, med tanke på namnet! Varför kallar de det Cedar House? Ta en titt på huset och staketet som omger det. Det stämmer, de är båda gjorda av cederträ. Detta är ett av de enda husen i Key West som är helt gjorda av cederträ.
Längre fram till vänster kan vi se det berömda Kapokträdet. Det är den stora med breda grenar som sprider sig rakt ut från stammen. Kapokträd är några av de största blommande träden i världen och når höjder på över 200 fot höga. De finns i varma tropiska klimat och anses heliga av många kulturer.
Korsningen framför markerar början på US Highway One. Mile markör noll står precis framför oss till vänster. Vi närmar oss från baksidan av skylten, så se till att du går runt till framsidan för en bättre titt.
Om du vill ta en snabb omväg till en piratattraktion, sväng höger in på Caroline Street. Detta tar dig till kapten George Careys hus, hem till Pirates Well. Brunnen ligger precis utanför huset.
På vår högra sida står Captain George Carey House! Har du någonsin hört talas om "De tyska brudarnas vrak?" Det är en riktig grej! Ett fartyg förliste här i närheten på 1800-talet och fem tyska kvinnor överlevde. Alla var singlar och var och en av dem gifte sig med en man från Key West!
Ta en titt till vänster. Ser du skylten för Trumans "Little" Whitehouse? Det är en kort promenad härifrån, så om du vill kolla in den kan du följa skyltarna. Men om du inte gör det, fortsätt bara att gå nerför Whitehead Street medan jag berättar lite om det.
På vår högra sida står Audubon House och dess omgivande tropiska trädgårdar. Du kan inte missa det! Detta byggdes 1849 och brukade vara hemmet för kapten John Geiger, en av Key Wests rikaste män.
Vi närmar oss Greene Street, hem för ett mycket speciellt Key West-landmärke: Captain Tony's Saloon! Barstolarna i denna anläggning bär namnen på kändisar som har stannat till för en drink där. Vill du dricka på samma bar där Robert DeNiro, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan och Clint Eastwood en gång slängde några tillbaka? Det här är din plats.
Till vänster om oss står den nya platsen för Sloppy Joe's. Dags att göra historiken rätt en gång för alla. Som jag nämnde är detta inte den ursprungliga Sloppy Joe's. Men visste du att det inte var Captain Tony's Saloon heller? Så var var originalet?
Tro det eller ej, det där vita huset med verandan på vår högra sida är det äldsta huset på ön! Det byggdes 1829 och var hem för den framstående vrakarna, kapten Fracis Watlington, som bodde där med sin fru och nio döttrar. Ja, du hörde rätt: Nio!
Lägger du märke till den stora vita kyrkan till vänster om oss? Det är St. Paul's Episcopal Church, en av områdets vackraste byggnader. Du skulle inte veta det genom att titta, men kyrkan har sett sin beskärda del av tragedier och katastrofer genom åren.
Kommer du ihåg branden 1886? Den vita byggnaden med tre valv på vår högra sida är San Carlos Institute, och det var där branden började! Nuförtiden är det ett museum, bibliotek, teater och skola. Åh, och ett konstgalleri. Det har också erkänts som ett av Floridas vackraste landmärken.
Alldeles framme på vår högra sida står Fjärils- och naturreservatet. Här kan du se över 50 fjärilsarter från hela världen, samt trädgårdar fyllda med blommande växter, exotiska fåglar och forsande vattenfall. Ett slags paradis inne i paradiset.

Great low cost tour of some of the most famous places in key West. Technology worked pretty well, and was easily able to select locations out of sequence on a moving map as we wandered around town. Lots of good "inside Key West" trivia included as well.

Great information and very easy to use. You could start and end at any point which was great because the best parking in a crowded area was halfway through the trip. As soon as we got out of the car and called up the app, the narration began with directions to the route. Loved the ability to stop and go into a museum or other attraction, get a drink and then resume your walk. Do go into the Butterfly Conservatory. Best attraction in the Keys

We did the stops going backward due to our location. That threw off some of the narrative stuff going in reverse order. You can start anywhere, but I recommend going to the stops in ascending order.

This was an easy walk, up and back the two main streets in the old downtown Key West. Good history talks, this takes an hour or four, depending on photo and shopping stops…

Inexpensive. Easy self guided tour that takes you from Duval Street down to the Southern most tip in Key West. You can stop and pause when you need to, and also relisten to it later! Wonderful facts as you walk. Clear voice that's easy to listen to on your own device.

The guided tour of down town Key West was great. Due to some time constraints and where we were parked, we had to do the tour backwards. It would have been better to do the normal way as some information at later stops builds on earlier ones. However, the app worked really well and the information was interesting and fun. Definitely worth it!

Key West is beautiful, and has lots of interesting architecture. We enjoyed walking around town and learning some things about it as we went along.

We were very pleased, The positives: 1) Price is great $9.99 2) interesting information, And good length, each stop has around 1.5 minutes of info. Also Voice is easy to understand. 3) you can advance each stop on your own or it will go to the next stop based on your walking and gps. 4) begin tour whenever you want, no meeting time 5) you don’t have to steer at #1 stop, we began the tour midway since tattoo was near our ship. Small negative: It takes a few minutes and a little confusing to set up and get going. Not bad, but not just as simple as hit the reservation link. We will definitely use them again in other cities.
