Avresa från Rom för en heldagstur till "Renässansens vagga". Första stoppet Pisa, du kommer att se "Piazza dei Miracoli" med dess berömda lutande torn och du kommer att besöka Baptisteriet och "Duomo", alla monument i glänsande vit marmor. Fortsättning till Florens, den legendariska staden för konstnärer och arkitekter från 1300- till 1600-talen. Stanna för lunch. Klockan 14.30 träffas guiden för en rundvandring i Florens. Väl framme i stadens centrum kan du andas atmosfären av medeltida gator och hantverksverkstäder och se mästerverk av Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli och Michelangelo, inklusive den berömda David som ligger inne på "Accademia". Se katedralen Santa Maria del Fiore, med sin vackra kupol projicerad av Brunelleschi och beundra baptisteriet samt Giottos klocktorn. Turen avslutas med en hisnande utsikt från Piazzale Michelangelo, en fantastisk panoramautsikt över Florens med dess monument, gruppfoto och avresa till Rom.

Johannes dopkapellet i Pisa (italienska: Battistero di San Giovanni) är en romersk-katolsk kyrklig byggnad i Pisa, Italien. Bygget påbörjades 1152 för att ersätta ett äldre dopkapell, och när det stod klart 1363 blev det den andra byggnaden, i kronologisk ordning, på Piazza dei Miracoli. Byggnadens form, materialet som används, fördelningen av de inre utrymmena som ges av kolonnerna och utrymmet mellan de två kupolerna gör att dopkapellet skapar en otrolig effekt av akustisk resonans, mer känd som Echo. Njut av ljudet som sprids över hela rummet, som en kontinuerlig våg, som stiger i tonalitet till den grad att det antyder närvaron av en änglakör. Varje halvtimme gör dopkapellet en liten demonstration för turister: effekten får man inte missa.

Besöket inkluderar Accademy Gallery där inuti finns David, Michelangelos berömda skulptur. Michelangelos David på "Accademia, förutom Davids verk, finns det också andra skulpturer och en stor samling målningar av florentinska konstnärer.
Katedralen Santa Maria del Fiore (besök utanför), med sin vackra kupol projicerad av Brunelleschi, är Florens katedral. Konstruktionen började 1296, gotisk stil till en design av Arnolfo di Cambio och var strukturellt färdig 1436, med kupolen designad av Filippo Brunelleschi. Basilikans exteriör har polykroma marmorpaneler i olika nyanser av grönt och rosa, kantad av vitt, och har en utarbetad gotisk 1800-talsfasad av Emilio De Fabris.
Intill katedralen Santa Maria del Fiore ligger klocktornet designat av Giotto (besök utanför). Giottos klocktorn är katedralens majestätiska klocktorn och ett av den italienska gotikens mästerverk. Klocktornet har en kvadratisk bas på cirka 15 meter per sida med hörnförstärkningar som reser sig upp till den horisontella fribärande kronan som ligger på en höjd av 84,7 meter.
Baptisteriet San Giovanni (besök utanför) ligger på Piazza Duomo, framför katedralen S. Maria del Fiore, det är ett av de viktigaste monumenten i Florens. Ursprunget till monumentet är inte säkert. Det tros ha byggts på ruinerna av ett antikt romerskt tempel tillägnat guden Mars runt 400-500-talet e.Kr. Det första omnämnandet går tillbaka till 897 då det kallades en basilika. År 1128 blev det officiellt stadens dopkapell, där dopriten ägde rum. Baptisteriet, uppkallat efter stadens skyddshelgon, kännetecknas av en åttakantig plan, täckt av en kupol med åtta segment täckta på utsidan av ett pyramidtak. Byggnadens exteriör är dekorerad med vit Carrara-marmor och grön Prato-marmor, karakteristisk för florentinsk romansk arkitektur.
Piazza della Signoria har varit i centrum för Florens politiska liv sedan 1300-talet. Torget har sett viktiga historiska händelser och stora triumfer äger rum, som Medicis återkomst 1530. De berömda skulpturerna på Piazza della Signoria har referenser till de politiska händelserna i Florens. David (originalet ligger i Accademia Gallery) skapades av Michelangelo och placerades framför Palazzo Vecchio för att symbolisera den florentinska republikens makt i kontrast till Medicis tyranni. Hercules and Cacus (1534) av Bandinelli symboliserar istället familjens fysiska kraft.
Ponte Vecchio, byggd nära en korsning från romartiden, var fram till 1218 den enda bron som korsade Arno i Florens. Ovanför Ponte Vecchio kan du se en del av den vackra Vasari-korridoren. Denna korridor, byggd 1565 av Giorgio Vasari, passerar precis ovanför guldsmedsbutikerna som för närvarande står på varsin sida om bron. På uppdrag av Medici, tillät det dem att flytta från Palazzo Vecchio till Palazzo Pitti utan att behöva korsa Florens gator, i full säkerhet. Vid tiden för byggandet av korridoren samlades slaktarnas butiker på Ponte Vecchio, vars verksamhet troligen störde mediciernas passage, som 1593 lät flytta dem och ersätta dem med de mer "prydliga" guldsmedsbutikerna.
Piazzale Michelangelo är den mest suggestiva punkten i Florens. Härifrån kan du beundra hela staden med dess fantastiska monument. We had so much fun on this tour with our wonderful guide Ana and our driver Alessio. Ana was very friendly and knowledgeable. Ana knew the best places to take photos and suggested places to eat. Malak was very knowledgeable and looked after us like family. It was a very hot day and both Malak and Ronerto were very flexible so we could make the most while staying cool at the same time. We had a fantastic tour with our guide Nariman and driver Roberto! The whole experience was top notch. After doing 2 large group tours, it was a real treat to do this small group one. There were only 4 of us, and that made a huge difference. JB and the driver picked us up from the hotel in a van. It was difficult to get in and out from the back seats and I think the van needed a better suspension as it was a really bumpy ride. We got dropped off at convenient locations and enjoyed everything.

Great tour of both Florence and Pisa. This tour gives you an overview of Florence (which you need 3 days for) and a visit to Pisa. Pisa was wonderful and our guide Agnes showed us the sites and explained everything. She also kept the vendors and others away. Lunch was great. Florence was beautiful. It is a long day but definitely worth it!
