This was an amazing day!!! We did the full day tour and Wyatt was amazing. He was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable!! I can’t thank him enough for giving us such an amazing experience. We thought we would run to Moab while in Colorado for work and so glad we did!
Hello, We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your rafting trip down the Colorado River. Thank you for your review and kind words regarding Wyatt. We'll be sure to pass along your remarks to him. Please keep Navtec in mind for your next visit to Moab! Best, Corey
Experienced and thoughtful guides really made this gorgeous raft trip special. We were driven to the launch site and our driver Warren and guide Michelle shared unique information about the area. This includes geography, hiking trail heads, Blue Heron nesting rookery grounds, scenic drives, so helpful. The group was offered the chose to go down the river on Ducky’s or in the raft. We were the only ones that chose the Ducky (a blow up tandem kayak). Michelle gave an informative safety talk which we appreciated. We are boaters our selves and while we are familiar with the Salish Sea in the Pacific NW waters, we are new to river rafting and it is different and important to know these safety items. Nate an other guide took the single Ducky and gave us great instructions before each rapid. (All around Class 1-2.5 ish). The first rapid , first waves was a little intimidating, but we did fine, followed instructions and had a great time. Nate was encouraging and bolstered our paddling with positive feedback. He was always aware of where we were so we felt, well cared for and safe. We did the full day trip, about 12 miles of paddling down river. We would definitely recommend this option if you want a little more adventure a little more splash. By the way we are 68 yrs old, so the Ducky’s are not only for the younger people. Michelle said we may see Blue Heron and it might be fun to count how many we saw, I took her up on the suggestion. My esta-count was 12 Blue heron, 2 Bald Eagles, one was in the nest, and 2 Osprey and we heard many other birds. So beautiful, the Colorado River in this area is surrounded by amazing red rock cliffs, every turn was a feast for the eyes!! Speaking of feasts, lunch was very nice with chips, pasta salad, chicken Caesar Salad wraps, veggies, and lots of snacks to take along. We highly recommend NavTech Expeditions.
Wow — thank you for such an incredibly thoughtful and detailed review of your day on the river with Navtec Expeditions! Reading experiences like yours is exactly why we love sharing this landscape with guests. We’re thrilled you chose the duckies for your adventure and embraced the extra splash, excitement, and hands-on experience of paddling the Colorado River yourselves. It’s especially wonderful to hear that you felt supported, encouraged, and safe throughout the trip by Michelle, Nate, and Warren. Creating an experience that feels both adventurous and welcoming — whether it’s someone’s first river trip or their hundredth day on the water — is something our team cares deeply about. We also absolutely love that you took on the Blue Heron counting challenge! Twelve herons, bald eagles, osprey, canyon walls glowing above the river — those are the kinds of moments that make this stretch of the Colorado so special. Your description captured the experience beautifully. Hearing that you tackled the duckies at 68 years old may be our favorite part of the review! Adventure belongs to everyone! Thank you again for spending the day with us and for taking the time to share your experience so generously. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Michelle, Nate, and Warren. We hope canyon country calls you back again someday!
Underwhelming. Very calm waters. Staff were great. Our guide, Hope, and driver, Clint, did a great job. The tour itself was not very exciting. I dozed off a couple of times.
Not only a fun rafting experience but also very educational. The staff was fantastic and very knowledgeable of the surroundings.
The tour guide Michelle was very informative and loves her job. Check in was very easy and fast. Easy to locate. Due to low water level (mother nature) we didn’t get to experience higher level rapids, but is was still beautiful ride and fun swimming in the eddy’s.
My family and I had a great time on the full-day rafting tour down the Colorado River! We went in mid March and the water was pretty calm with a few class 2 rapids! Our guides Will and Nate were very friendly and knowledgeable! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time! Also, the provided lunch was chicken caesar wraps, and they were really good!
Thank you for all of the kind words regarding your guides and provisions on the tour. We're thrilled to hear your family had such an enjoyable time. We hope to see you again on your next trip to Moab.
Go in the spring. It was fun with Eli. He gave some great facts and made the trip a blast. The weather was fabulous.
What a wonderful day. In late September, the rapids are a class 1 and 2 which is PERFECT in 80 degree weather with 6 other new friends and Raven as our guide. It was so PLEASANT. We had a moments of rapids with getting wet, but mostly calm floating(like river tubing) and FANTASTIC scenery. Raven was the perfect host, expertly guiding the boat so it slowly circled down the river with no one side being the front all the time. He had great stories and information. I really just emphasize how pleasant it was. At this time of year, this is not the trip for adventure. The water was chilly, but after being in the sun for several hours, it felt great to plop in and and float along with the boat awhile. We were the only couple who did a full day float, and I highly recommend it because the first half and second half are so different. The website says there is a buffet lunch, but no....instead we had a basket of really good healthy chips, fruit, and brownies with a VERY GOOD Caesar Salad chicken wrap. It was plenty of food and seconds were offered. I loved today. After all the hard, red, rock climbing it was great to get on the water and just mellow and float. My only wish was that I brought along a few light beers......Raven was the best guide!
This was a fun trip. The rapids were not very challenging, which is what we wanted. They might be higher at other times of the year. Bring sunscreen and some kind of long sleeve shirt, as you will be very exposed to the sun throughout the trip we did the full day trip. If you do a half day, do the afternoon, as that was a more interesting segment of the river.
Looking for an easy ride down the Colorado River this is it! As they said, Level 1 rapids but Level 5 scenery. This did not disappoint! Our guide was great and made for an enjoyable day. Rapids were small, so great trip for most ages. They serve lunch and have water tight boxes onboard to store your bags.
