Fez Cooking School på Palais Amani Experience

Beskrivning

This is an exceptional experience! Highly reccomend it to anyone visiting Fes as it was the highlight of our trip. Cooking delicious traditional dishes on the rooftop of the stunning Palais Amani coupled with a visit to the market to buy our ingredients was a truly wonderful experience. Loubna is a terrific host!
The cooking class was fantastic and such an enjoyable experience for our entire family. Our host, Miriam, was so knowledgeable and truly led us on a fun, informative, and engaging trip through the Souks. The tour and class were well organized and the food was delicious. It ended up being longer than four hours, but we enjoyed the downtime on the roof of the Palais prior to eating. Plus, the rooftop cooking and Palais were beautiful. Thanks for a great experience! Truly a highlight of our trip to Fes.
The cooking experience was wonderful, we enjoyed both the Souk visit and cooking with Chef Usama and Zuchina. They are both very nice, wonderful people.
Since no one else booked the lunchtime slot (highly recommend this over dinner), it was just my 21-year-old son and me. We had the best experience, which included food tastings & tea in the souks during our shopping tour for ingredients. Cooking in the open rooftop kitchen was perfect, and the meal we made was delicious, which was served in the gorgeous courtyard. Worth the $.
We couldn’t have been in better hands than with Chefs Usama and Meryem. While we booked for the cooking experience, it was so much more. First, the former palace-now Palais Amani hotel was stunning and the hospitality from the moment we entered was next level. They inquired about allergies and dietary restrictions before making suggestions and allowing to change if needed. We knew the fun would begin with a trip to the Medina to buy our vegetables and fruits, but it was so much more informative thanks to Meryem and Usama who explained details we didn’t know as foreigners and allowed us to sample local treats, including what had to be the best mint tea in all of Morocco. We can’t begin to say how comfortable we felt with both, due to their warm, welcoming, and jovial nature. We could have talked to them all night. Needless to say, coming back and cooking with both was a delight. We dined on our amazing dishes after in the ambient restaurant like all other guests. We can honestly say our starter, main entree, and dessert were beyond tasty. The staff even took time to walk us to our taxi and secure one. All in all, this experience was beyond a 5-star. Look no further. There is a reason why this experience receives high ratings!
I am so glad that we booked this experience! So appreciative that the hotel sent a guide to fetch us from our Riad as to find it on our own would have been difficult. The "cooking class" was so much more than I had expected. We got to go to the Fez Medina for shopping and to taste some of the local breakfast dishes (which we were also given the recipes). Loubna and Oussama were incredibly informative and we learned about the ingredients, how to cook three different dishes, and then ate our amazing lunch in the most beautiful courtyard. We were also given the spices needed to replicate these dishes back home! I highly recommend this experience for anyone who is interested in cooking and learning more about Moroccan cuisine!
My husband and I took the cooking class and souk experience with Loubna and the Chef! It was an awesome experience. They took us around the souks to pick up the ingredients for the dinner we were going to prepare. While at the souks, they showed us a few of their favorite vendors and let us try tasty bites at each of them. We also learned a lot about souk culture and how Moroccans shop. We went back to the hotel to cook on the rooftop in a beautiful outdoor kitchen. We made a delicious meal and then enjoyed it in the hotel restaurant. Both Loubna and the Chef were super kind and wonderful hosts. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Fes.
We had a great time. The staff is excellent with kids of all ages, and were adept at guiding our multi-lingual group (English and French) through the baking. Highly recommend!
Very good experience. Loubna was great fun. The resulting meal was absolutely delicious. Buying the ingredients in the souk was a great interesting experience.
Excellent cooking experience and dinner. This was hands on with a three course meal - cooked vegetable, chicken tagine and dessert. Cooking was done on the rooftop terrace and waiters carried dinner down to the garden to enjoy with the group. Wine available for purchase during cooking or dinner - food was excellent, recipes provided and gifts sent home including a complimentary Fez hat, spices and a small basket - highly recommend, good value.
