Efter din färja som har passerat Carberys 100 öar, anländer du till Cape Clear Island, tillbringar lite fritid med att utforska denna Gaeltacht Island, lär dig om öns kultur, öbornas liv, inklusive gamla traditioner och traditionellt jordbruk. Upptäck öns gamla stående stenar, Napoleontornet, Dún an Óir-slottet, 1100-talskyrkan och besök minnesmärket på ön över Fastnet Yacht Race-katastrofen 1979. Se Fastnet Rock-fyren i fjärran på en av promenadproven eller njut av lunch på en av öns barer och restauranger. Efter lunch går du ombord på färjan för att se fyren. Få en glimt av de magnifika valarna och delfinerna på vägen! Vi åker runt "An Carraig Aonair" eller "Lonely Rock" och tar in dess historia och kultur. När vi väl har cirklat runt klippan två gånger, för att få det perfekta fotot, beger vi oss hemåt och njuter av det spektakulära landskapet tills vi når vår sista hamn.

Baltimore Beacon är en vitmålad stenfyr vid inloppet till hamnen i Baltimore, County Cork, Irland. Fyren byggdes på order av den brittiska regeringen efter 1798 års uppror. Det var en del av en serie fyrar och fyrar utspridda runt den irländska kusten och bildade ett varningssystem. Lokalbefolkningen kallar honom Lot’s Wife med en blinkning efter en biblisk figur som stelnat till en saltpelare!
Cape Clear Island ligger utanför West Corks kust på Wild Atlantic Way. Ön ligger 8 miles med färja från fastlandet och är det närmast bebodda området till den berömda Fastnet Rock-fyren. Den är tre och en halv mil lång och en och en halv mil bred och har en permanent irländsktalande befolkning på 130 som ökar avsevärt under sommarmånaderna.
Efter lunch på Cape Clear Island går du ombord på färjan och reser ut till Fastnet Lighthouse. Efter att vi har cirklat runt klippan två gånger i olika riktningar, så att alla passagerare kan få det perfekta fotot, beger vi oss hemåt och njuter av det spektakulära landskapet tills vi når vår sista hamn
På färjan kommer kaptenen att visa dig den riktiga Wild Atlantic Way! Du kan till och med få en glimt av de magnifika valarna och delfinerna på väg till ön och fyren.

Not recommended, both in terms of price and the experience in general.
Hi Monica. We cant guarantee whale sigthings, but there is a chance to see marine wildlife on this cruise out to this amazing lighthouse. It is a pity you didnt think seeing this unique Fastnet lighhouse searing up in the middle of the ocean off the Cork coastline, was not impressive? all our other clients do!
Excellent experience and amazing trip. Highly recommend taking this trip from Baltimore in west Cork.
An outstanding trip including a stop on the lovely Island and then a tour around the Fastnet.The marvellous crew even managed to arrange lovely weather despite the dire forecast. The close up contact with the Fastnet (albeit only from the boat!) for our group from the Association of Lighthouse Keepers was probably the highlight of our West Cork Expedition. The Crew couldn't have been more helpful and fun too. A magnificent day for us all.
I got notice that the tour was cancelled! Then I got the tickets! Viator tours are all around the map - lots of cancellations last minute and some quality guides (had a fab one in London in 2024 and a fab one in Panama that year for birdwatching) but some terrible (also Panama City) and lots of cancellations in Ireland
Hi Maureen yes, unfortunately we had to cancel the cruise because of the storm that came in, which made it unpleasant and unsafe to go out to go to sea. We always want to deliver an amazing experience for our customers. Unfortunately we cant control the weather! Hope to host you again in Ireland soon.
One of the best tours we have done. We got great pictures of an engineering wonder. It was awesome inspiring to look at the raised beauty. The crew was great and took our picture with fastnet in the background
Went out to the fastnet lighthouse on Cape Clear ferry from Schull to view up a close up of the Fastnet Lighthouse. The captain Brendan was talking about the islands and sea life on the way to the lighthouse. On arrival at the Fastnet Brendan gave a detailed lesson and how this magnificent lighthouse was built, and other facts There was plenty of time to take photos before heading back. On our way back we saw a pod of dolphins jumping around very near the ferry. This trip is a must see for anyone interested in lighthouses,and the sea. A group of us spanning 3 generations of family went on the Direct Fastnet tour from Baltimore. It was the most amazing, perfect experience. The crew are a joy, down to earth and very helpful. Large, new boat with a bar serving snacks and drinks. Loved the history lesson about the lighthouse while getting to see it up close. On the way back we saw Fin whales and dolphins. The boat crew diverted our return so we could watch the most stunning display of these creatures. Just the most perfect day from start to finish. Highly recommend
Excellent experience but incorrect tickets were issued which compromised the event. Crew and island opportunities were magnificent, but tickets given for a shorter trip-lighthouse viewing paid for but tickets did not include.
Fantastic tour! We had enough time on Cape Clear to gave a driver show us the island. Seeing Fastnet Lighthouse was an awesome experience. Our boat circled it several times so we could really see and get fantastic pictures. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

I travelled with my wife the tour having been suggested by Trish from Cork harbour cruises who gave us the contact numbers. The trip was fantastic the views amazing and boat great fun to be in on the open sea. We stopped over on Cape Clear for a few hours on the journey back and enjoyed the walks and had lunch. It was a perfect day and we would recommend it for any group adults and children.
