Fabulous one hour town of Faro by electric tuk tuk
Very good experience, in a 1 hour tour covered all faro tourist attractions. Tour guide was excellent. With vast knowledge of Faro’s history.
This is a wonderful tour to see the city highlights. Our guide was nice offering suggestions for places to eat and things to do as well as explaining the history of the city. The tuk tuks are fun to ride in even on a hot day.
History to the dot - great explanations at all venues thank you. Our driver gave us great information at every site visited over and above what we expected . Thank you
In the summer heat a private and covered tuk tuk is the best way to tour Faro, with open sides and a shaded by a covered roof. Mauro our wonderful tour guide is very knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts. We learnt about Faro's history, culture and the beautiful natural UNESCO Rio Formosa reserve, including history of the Phonicians, Romans, Moors, the Kingdom of Leon, the creation of Portugal by its first King Alfonsa Henriques. The beautiful preserved architecture of Faro reflects the different rulers of the past. We visited a fresh food market of local, seasonal fruits, vegetables and spectacular fresh and clean fish and crustaceans......incredible if you are foodie! We were introduced to other places of interest to visit during our stay, such as the Algarve Life Science Centre, Faro Cathedral and Joao De Deus Park for peacocks. We highly recommend this one hour tour with Mauro from Ecotuk.
Mauro was a likable and articulate driver; he told us a lot of historical information - it was an engaging tour. Including the "Portuguese massage" ;-).
The driver was a very capable man. The explanation was also very careful and I learned a lot about the history of Faro. This tour is recommended.

A lovely way to get a grasp of the city of Faro on an intimate level. A change from a hop on off bus with lots of historic information about Faro and Portugal. People food etc.
