Leonor was a joy to tour with. I feel like I’m ready for a test on Mexican history, with a focus on pre-Hispanic times. Leonor is an expert on this time period and her wealth of knowledge was apparent and much appreciated. She shared so much information that we learned beyond what was in front of us at Templo Mayor and the cathedral. It was like exploring a new city with an old friend.

TEMPLO MAYOR We had an outstanding experience with Omar on this exclusive tour of Templo Mayor. He was friendly, professional, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Having studied history and ethnography, he brought a depth of understanding that enriched every part of the tour. What made Omar particularly special was his ability to make history come alive. He is a gifted storyteller who provides historical context with both insight and sensitivity, helping visitors understand not only what happened, but why it matters. He shared fascinating perspectives on the rise of the Mexica civilization, the Spanish conquest, and the ongoing archaeological discoveries that continue to reshape our understanding of the site. The tour begins outdoors among the ruins of Templo Mayor, where visitors can explore the remains of the sacred precinct, including the foundations of the great double pyramid and the House of the Eagles, where elite warriors once prepared for battle. Omar expertly guided us through these remarkable ruins, explaining their significance and helping us visualize the city that once stood there. The experience then continues inside the museum, where the history observed outdoors is expanded and brought into even sharper focus. Omar carefully highlighted the most important artifacts, explained recent discoveries, and provided fascinating details about the objects on display. His explanations were thorough without ever feeling overwhelming, and he presented complex information in a way that was engaging, accessible, and memorable. One of the things we appreciated most was that Omar invited thoughtful discussion and made us feel genuinely engaged in the learning process. Cinthya was a fantastic tour guide. Good communication about when and where to meet made it easy to find her in a very busy area of the city. She was extremely knowledgeable about the ruins and history of the area, telling stories that really brought the experience to life. A must do experience in CDMX!

The temple is a great way to learn about the history of Mexico City. Omar, the guide, was great. He was very knowledgeable of everything that we encountered and had interesting stories that brought everything to life. He even helped us find a place to eat afterwards. Highly recommend if you like history!
We were 10 minutes late due to traffic and contacted the tour as best we could to let them know, but when we arrived the tour was gone. So we were not able to take part in the tour. We were eventually able to get a response and were given a refund which is appreciated. But we did not get to experience the tour.

Omar gave us a detailed tour of the archaeological ruins and inside the museum! He is very knowledgeable and took time to explain and answer our questions. The exhibits are amazing especially the Monliths! A must see !!
