I loved it! I did the tour today with the guide called Enri. Having him as a guide was essential, he kept it dynamic and incredibly interesting. The sculptures and the painted ceilings absolutely took my breath awayyyy..
The Gallery Borghese is magnificent. The collection of paintings and sculptures in this lavish setting is truly awe inspiring. The premium charged for the skip the queue tickets is however exhorbitant. Take your chances in the queue which looked like it involved about a 10-20 minute wait. The downloaded App was problematic and kept "glitching" resulting in the need to shut it down and then restart it a number of times during our tour.

Henry was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. As an art historian, he was able to take us to the most important pieces in a huge collection, and explain the technical reasons for their importance, while placing them in a historical context. The collection is so huge, and the villa so intricately decorated, that it’s a little overwhelming, so Henry’s approach really worked. Highly recommend.

We took the Villa Borghese tour with Cesare who is an excellent guide, who speaks French very well, and who made this tour exceptional. The only downside, the meeting point had nothing to do with what Crown Tours had sent us: not the right place or the right person, it was impossible to reach them by phone.

Our guide Damiano was terrific -- articulate, funny, and with a deep understanding of the art and history of the building. We enjoyed manymengaging stories over a solid 2 hour tour. Our group was relatively small -- about 7 people -- which made it possible to have good question/answer sessions with Damiano throughout the tour. It was a bit pricey but worth it.

Tour guide was great! My daughters love Greek/roman mythology. They loved seeing all the stories they read about in the statues and paintings. We ran a little late but were able to meet up. We really appreciate it!

Having a guide added so much to our experience. She was a wealth of knowledge and we were free to ask questions. Borghese Palace is a beautiful place ( and we had a 2 hour escape from the heat of Rome!). If it hadn’t been so hot, we would have walked the gardens afterward.
