Rajgir och Nalanda, som ligger nära Bodhgaya, är betydande historiska och andliga destinationer. Rajgir är känt för sin Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Gridhakuta Hill (Gamens topp), och varma källor, nära förknippade med Buddha och Jainism. Nalanda är hem för det gamla Nalanda universitet, ett UNESCO-världsarv, och Nalanda Arkeologiska Museum, som visar upp regionens rika akademiska och kulturella arv.

Morgonupphämtning från Bodhgaya City Hotels. Kör sedan till Rajgir (ca 2-timmars bilresa) och variours kloster som: Vid ankomstbesöket till VISHWA SHANTI STUPA och VULTURE'S PEAK OR GRIDDHAKUTA, på toppen av Ratnagiri kullen, där Buddha höll många inspirerande predikningar, har en fredspagod byggts av Buddha Sangh i Japan. Anmärkning: Det finns två sätt att nå Vishwa Shanti Stupa och Vulture's Peak (Gridhakuta). Ett alternativ är att ta linbanan och sedan klättra 200 steg för att nå Gridhakuta. Det andra alternativet är att gå, vilket tar ungefär en timme att nå toppen.
VENU VAN har frodig grönska och en fridfull miljö, vilket ger besökarna en inblick i det antika klosterlivet. Det bokstavligen en "Bambuskog", är en historisk park som förknippas med Buddha. Parken skänktes av Magadha-kungen Bimbisar till Buddha för omkring 2500 år sedan. Det finns en liten damm som kallas Karandak Tank inne i parken.
BIMBISARA FÄNGELSE (Drive pass) har en rad klippiga grottor och är känd för sin historiska betydelse och natursköna vyer.
Turen fortsätter, kör till RUINS OF NALANDA UNIVERSITY ca 30-minuters bilresa. Platsen har imponerande ruiner av universitetskomplexet, inklusive kloster, klassrum och bibliotek. Nalanda var ett nav för buddhistiskt stipendium och lockade forskare från hela Asien. Idag erbjuder ruinerna en fascinerande inblick i forntida utbildning och kultur, vilket gör den till en viktig arkeologisk och andlig destination.
Besök också NALANDA ARKEOLOGISKA MUSEUM (stängt på fredag) visar en imponerande samling av antika artefakter, skulpturer och manuskript, som erbjuder en fascinerande inblick i Nalanda universitets rika historia.
Minnesmärket Xuan Zang Memorial Hall är en symbol för kulturellt utbyte och fred, med utställningar som beskriver Xuanzangs resor, studier och hans centrala roll i spridningen av buddhismen. Kör senare tillbaka till Bodhgaya som är ca 2-timmars bilresa. Och släpp till din vistelse i Bodhgaya.

The remains of Nalanda University are amazing, and some of the sights associated with the Buddha in and around Rajgir are quite interesting. And all are very difficult for a foreigner to reach, being in remote areas with bad roads and frankly a reputation for being a little unsafe for travellers. This tour, guided by Mr. Randhir, proved to be an ideal way to see these sights. Our guide and a driver picked us up in an A/C sedan at 8am, and dropped us back at our hotel in Bodh Gaya around 4:30pm. The itinerary included the Nalanda ruins, Shanti stupa, Vulture's Peak, and Bamboo Grove in Rajgir, as well as the "chariot tracks" near the entrance to ancient Rajgir. You will need to pay for admission for the sites for the passengers and the guide, so bring cash. For two foreigners this came out to about maybe 2500 rupees, but bring a little more than that (as well as money to tip the guide and driver!) Admission prices are of course subject to change. Lunch was included in our package, which was a buffet at the Hotel Indo-Hokke in Rajgir. Only two small things could be improved: bottled water was not provided for us (although the booking said it should have been included), and the car didn't have accessible seat belts in the back. Note that you'll spend about 5 hours in the car. The sites, especially Vulture's Peak, require a fair amount of climbing and would not be appropriate for someone with poor mobility or fitness. We were very grateful that we were able to see these fascinating but otherwise hard to access sites, and recommend this tour if you are into ancient Buddhist sites or Indian archaeology.
Great tour... Guide Mr. Randhir was very knowledgeable and helpful, and we felt very safe in the hands of driver Mr. Pankaj even in the hectic traffic of India! The tour management was also flexible that we were able to do a few more visits with a reasonable additional fee. Thank you for making our day great!
