Turen inkluderar ett besök i Europas största aktiva vulkan: Etna eller Mongibello. När du går upp mot toppen går du genom olika landskap. Från de högsta punkterna kan du njuta av en spektakulär utsikt som sträcker sig till ön Malta. Etna blev Unesco arv 2013. Du kan gå upp genom vägen som leder till Rifugio Sapienza (1 923 meter). Tillflyktsorten har en välfylld bar och shoppingområde. Till gästernas förfogande finns också en stor panoramaterrass, där det är möjligt att koppla av och njuta av en fantastisk utsikt över stora delar av östra Sicilien. Från Refuge kan du ta linbanan mot en avgift på 2500 meter mot avgift. Därifrån kan du besöka till fots eller fortsätta med terrängfordon för att nå kraterområdet, beläget 2920 m.
Taormina är en av de mest kända turistorterna på ön. En gång här kommer föraren att följa med dig till Porta Messina, åtkomstpunkten till stadens gågata. Härifrån kan du besöka Taorminas historiska centrum och den fantastiska grekisk-romerska teatern (entré mot en extra avgift). Du kan promenera längs de medeltida gatorna för att beundra den hisnande utsikten och smaka på den utmärkta gastronomin. Missa inte den suggestiva panoramaterrassen med utsikt över havet, en härlig mötesplats, det berömda centrumet i Taorminas sociala liv. Allt detta är Piazza IX Aprile, det mest kända torget i Taormina som vetter mot huvudgatan (Corso Umberto), med sina många uteserveringar, religiösa byggnader och historiska byggnader som ramar in den. För shoppingentusiaster är Taormina den perfekta platsen att köpa kläder, souvenirer och konstverk.
Vid foten av Taormina ligger Isola Bella, en liten naturlig pärla, förbunden med kusten av en tunn sandremsa. Kristallklart vatten, orörd natur och hisnande vyer gör det till en av Siciliens mest suggestiva destinationer, med möjlighet att stanna till för några foton.

If you have an extra free day in Palermo, you need to do this with Fabrizio! He picked up my family at 8:00 am and drove us to Mt. Etna. It was a long drive(2.5 hours) but we enjoyed every minute of it because Fabrizio taught us a lot about history, current events, architecture, nature and so much more while he drove us to the base of Mt. Etna. It started to rain when we reached the base so we stayed at the souvenir shop/cafe until the rain stopped. We took a lot of photos and videos of the stunning views and the constant rain plus the random lighting! After, Fabrizio drove us to Taormina where we spent 2.5 hours eating a delicious relaxing lunch and shopping at the vibrant shopping scene Taormina is famous for. Fabrizio picked us up where he dropped us off and everyone fell asleep with Fabrizio’s safe and comfortable driving. We all would love to do this again soon! We highly recommend Fabrizio, we voted him as the best guide in Palermo! Thank you Fabrizio!

We had a great time visiting Mt Etna and Taormina with this tour. The only thing is that we would have preferred more time in Taormina and less in Mt Etna, but it was so because of the decisions we made on the options offered at the site. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun and thought this was worth our time and money, specially being it a private tour for our group. Our driver, Marcello, was wonderful and did everything he could to accommodate our requests.
Our driver was cordial and punctual but the published itinerary seems to be impossible as we went up the Mt Etna with cable car plus 4x4 bus. The bus in the mountain was unpredictable. We ended up spending all our time at Mt Etna.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback. Unfortunately the journey from Palermo to Etna is about 3 hours, to add the journey to Taormina and the return. This is why the time to spend on Etna and in Taormina is about 2 hours for each stop. If the customer wishes to spend more time at one of the two stops, obviously there is no time left for the other stop. Consider that the tour planned in this way has a duration of about 12 hours including the road journey. We are happy that your experience on Etna was fantastic and thank you for the 5 stars.
Claudio was my guide and he was great. I found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful as I navigated around Mt Etna and Taormina. He made sure I got to see and enjoy the coast and stopped for photo ops. I really enjoyed this tour. I had enough time to enjoy each stop.

Plan for a long day but with Claudio it was an extraordinary experience. He was punctual, professional and an excellent driver and very knowledgeable of the entire island of Sicily. We were very pleased with the tour and would highly recommend Claudio.

Taormina was fabulous and would absolutely go back. Etna was beautiful but I would prefer to spend more time in Taormina. Marcelo our guide was wonderful.
