I booked Ishak's cooking class to introduce my niece to Moroccan cuisine during her first trip to Morocco - and it turned out to be the highlight of our week in Essaouira. We met at a small local market to buy fresh ingredients together, then cooked at Ishak and Amélie's home. The whole experience felt very authentic and personal. Ishak explained everything - from spices to cooking techniques - in a fun, engaging, and easy-to-follow way. The result? The best lamb tagine and lemon chicken tagine I've ever had! We also learned how to make real Moroccan mint tea, which was a lovely bonus. What made this experience truly special was Ishak himself. He took so much time for us, shared great tips for our stay in Essaouira, and made us feel completely welcome. It was so much more than just a cooking class. And as if that wasn't enough, we even received a very special gift at the end - something we won't spoil here, but it's without a doubt the most meaningful souvenir my niece brought home and something she will treasure for a long time. A true highlight of our trip - we can absolutely recommend it to everyone. We will certainly come back!

We booked to cook with Chef Ishak as we wanted to learn to cook tagines like the locals. We were given a good choice of recipes and shown around the local market to buy provisions before taken to Ishak’s home. The warmth of his welcome made us feel like we were meeting with friends. We had a great time learning about the different spices and how to cook with a tagine. The meal was delicious but what we came away with was more than just a full belly. Thank you Ishak for sharing your knowledge and your kindness. Highly recommend this experience to all!

This was such a beautiful experience, from shopping for the meat and spices (plus a bit of sampling), to peeling veg and chatting and preparing the Tagines to finally eating them - they were really tasty and we now have the tricks of the trade so will be reinventing them at home. Isaac is an absolute treasure and is interesting to talk to. Save up all your questions that you want to know about life as a Moroccan. Highly recommend this experience.... they have a very beautiful and cosy home too.

My husband and I have spent a marvellous and enriching cooking class with chef Ishak. It is an all round experience where you get the look, the feel, the smell and the taste of Morocco, starting at the market where you pick out your vegetables, olives and meat. Then you go to Ishak's home to learn from scratch how to cook the best tagines. Ishak is very friendly, accommodating and talented and shares lots of information about Morocco and the places to visit in Essaouira. Thank you, Ishak, for this beautiful experience.

We did the cooking class with Isaac and couldn’t have been happier. The lamb and chicken tajines we cooked were the best we had in our whole stay in Morocco. Isaac not only taught us about tajine and local cuisine, he also gave us many local recommendations and helped us buy our own tajine and spices from local markets. I would recommend this experience to anyone travelling to Essaouira !

We decided last minute to join Isaac’s cooking experience and we were so glad we did it! The whole evening was great. We learned so much about Moroccan cuisine, spices, the mint tea, the tajines we cooked were hands down the best we tasted during our holiday in Morocco. Isaac was a lovely host and offered so much more than a cooking lesson, he helped us buy spices and everything local we were interested in! The whole experience was fun and 100% worth doing it!

Fantastic cooking class in Essouira. We bought our ingredients in a local market and then cooked the best tahini I ever tasted. We also learned about tea making culture and had lovely chats with Isaac who was so welcoming and kind. I really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it.

Isaac was an exceptional host from start to finish. He couldn't have done more. Fitting me in last minute, as flying home the next day. Very welcoming, easy to speak with and instantly puts you at ease. A fountain of knowledge on traditional morrocan cooking/lifestyle. He is full of useful information about Essaouira the local area, and beyond. I highly recommend this experience,with Isaac, you won't leave disappointed.

Isaac and his girlfriend were incredible hosts! The renowned Moroccan hospitality at its highest level! ❤️ We shopped at a very local market, (loved it!) we were then invited into Isaac‘s incredibly clean, darling home. We had asked to prepare a vegetarian and a meatball tangine. Isaac showed us how to prepare everything. The spices were amazing! While our food cooked in the traditional clay pots, Issac showed us the proper way to make and serve mint tea. It was a revelation! Mint tea will never be the same for me after Issac’s explanation. We will never forget this evening. It was the best experience we had while in Essaouira, and one of our best memories from ALL of our time in Morocco. We met Isaac at the market to shop for our meal and were greeted so warmly and enthusiastically. We knew we were in great hands. Onto his home then and began our tutorial on traditions and culture as well as cooking. We made 2 different Tangines. Each were delicious. We felt so welcomed that we could stay the night and sleep off our food hangover if need be. Today he sent us recommendations for restaurants and dishes to try. Plus, shopping tips. I cannot recommend spending an evening with Isaac and his darling girlfriend more highly. Definitely a 5 star experience.
