En katedral har stått på denna plats sedan år 604 och den nuvarande katedralen är nu den fjärde som har byggts här efter att den stora branden i London 1666 förstörde dess föregångare. It was beautiful and easy to get the band to enter. Used the self guided tour! The audio tour was easy to use and going y Up the dome was amazing
Our visit here was unforgettable. Reaching the upper galleries was a massive highlight; the sweeping views of the London skyline from the upper decks are absolutely spectacular. However, you definitely have to earn it. The climb up the dome is pretty hard, and the passages get very small, steep, and tight toward the final stretch. If you are comfortable with stairs and tight spaces, it’s a must-do. Highly recommended!
I booked 2 senior tickets through Tickete Co to visit the cathedral. Unfortunately as an asthmatic NHS and UK government issued a health warning advising people like me not to travel in the severe heat. I contacted the tour operator to see whether due to government guidelines and my own risk to life, could I change the date? The situation was out of my control and I wanted to avoid falling ill. The response was poor!! It said no to any change and the tour of the cathedral wasn’t weather dependent!! I tried to explain whilst this might be true, I like many visitors would have to travel into central London and that was the problem! Exceptional high temperatures potentially leading to ill health. Found Tickete Co just awful to deal with. Absolutely no empathy or flexibility. Would not recommend them at all. I am also disappointed in St Paul’s for using such an organisation to sell tickets.
Jumped on a free guided tour of the cathedral. Our guide Peter was very passionate about London, art and architecture so it was a lovely was to get an introduction/overview of the cathedral. Challenged ourselves by climbing to all through galleries - not for the faint hearted as while the climb is not difficult it is a LOT of steps. Well rewarded with a great view of London though. Also very interesting looking through the crypt.
The booking was for 11.30. there was no tour guide available, crypt was closed at 12.30, and we all had to leave at 1pm as cathedral was closing. Paid for a tour which didn't. Venue was amazing. and staff were apologetic for the inconvenience.
We looked all over for our Viator tour guide in the spot they said on the ticket and in the email and also went to the place some other reviews mentioned they found their guide. I don’t think they were even there. That was disappointing so we just got in and did the audio tour ourselves. Really would like a refund as we could have just paid St Paul’s directly and made a donation for the same experience
The view from outside is spectacular. Inside - costs too much for what you see. Westminster Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral are much better bang for your buck.

No one was available to tell you where to check in. The security guard at the door had no information. The main entry attendant said they could not honor the tickets. We spent over an hour trying to determine how to join the guided tour.
