Entrébiljett till Atomic Museum

Beskrivning

It was very educational and well-organized.
Thanks for the great review, Kyu!
Very interesting, as a WW2 history buff it was fascinating, the thought process of the scientists and engineers involved is spectacular, excellent guides and highly recommended.
Thank you for the wonderful review. We’re so glad you found the experience fascinating and enjoyed learning about the scientists, engineers, and history behind this important chapter of the nuclear age. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are happy to hear our guides helped make your visit memorable.
Enjoyed the interactive encounter. Reading about the atom, protons and neutrons took me down memory lane.. science class. The periodic table, wow!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so glad you enjoyed the interactive exhibits and that they brought back some great science class memories. It’s wonderful to hear the atomic displays and periodic table made such an impression. We hope to see you again for another fun and educational visit!
a great way to spend an afternoon. the museum is informative, interactive, and all around very interesting to look at. The fallout exhibit was a lot of fun too along with the scavenger hunt inside the museum itself.
The museum was interesting, but a bit repetitive. It’s worth the trip and explores a lesser known area of American history.
Thank you for visiting and sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found the museum interesting. We are grateful you took the time to share your experience.
This is a well thought out and planned museum. A must for any history buffs. The exhibits are fascinating and engaging.
We appreciate the review! We strive to provide a fun and educational experience for all our patrons.
This is not to be missed. It was one of my favorite museums anywhere. I think we spent about 6 hours here the day before our tour of the NNSS. I have a much greater appreciation about deterrence and how atomic weapons keep us safe by hopefully never being used.
Thank you for the wonderful review. We are honored to hear it was one of your favorite museums and that you spent so much time exploring the exhibits. It’s especially meaningful to know the experience helped deepen your understanding of nuclear deterrence and the history behind it. We appreciate you visiting and are glad the museum could be part of your time leading up to your NNSS tour.
I heard the museum was good but this blew me away. I think anyone over 60 who lived the Cold War will be fascinated to learn more about the science and politics behind nuclear weapons. The museum does a nice job making much of the science understandable for the lay person but there is lots of in depth material for geeks too. The scope and duration of decades of military driven development was hard to comprehend, not to mention the portion of GDP invested over all this time. Curatorially, they mostly stay fairly far away from the moral and ethical debates, presenting atomic energy as a fact and product of the world politics and history of the time. For light exposure, 1-2 hours, but if you are into it, lots of material here to fill 3-4 hours. At first I thought the admission fee was a bit high, but once I saw the museum, it is value for money. There is a huge amount of real history being preserved and presented here, and Nevada was ground zero for much of the story. To be clear, this is a quality museum about a serious social subject not a bit of Las Vegas entertainment.
We’re thrilled you found the museum so engaging and informative. It’s great to hear that both the science and history were presented in a way that was accessible yet detailed, and that you felt it was well worth the visit. Thank you for sharing your thoughtful experience!
The museum is excellent! The exhibits are well done and very interesting. The docents were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone in our party throughly enjoyed the 2-3 hours we spent there - even my wife that doesn't typically like museums.
We’re thrilled you and your party enjoyed the museum! It’s wonderful to hear the exhibits, docents, and overall experience made such a positive impression—even for someone who doesn’t usually enjoy museums. Thank you for sharing!
Wow, I was on atomic overload when I finished visiting this place! Lots of great info and details regarding nuclear bomb development and testing. I really liked the full size mockups of "The Gadget" and the "Fatboy" bomb. I also liked all the Fallout themed props. This seems to be a very popular attraction. Free parking available.
