Halvdagens guidade aktivitet börjar och slutar på ditt hotell. Du åker efter frukost 10:00 och beger dig mot norr om Zanzibar för en dag full av äventyr, spänning och spänning. Du kommer att se en mängd olika kryddor precis där de odlas som vanilj, kardemumma och muskot. Du kommer också att få delta i en matlagningskurs för att lära dig hur man gör en traditionell Zanzibar-rätt, . The cooking class portion of the spice farm tour was a truly unique and authentic experience, but not for the faint of heart! From sitting on the floor of the “kitchen”, which is essentially a dirt floor , cinder block room without running water or electricity, to cutting up vegetables used in the multi-course meal, to watching “Mama” prepare the meal and waiting for the meal to cook over 3 portable charcoal braziers, we all felt transported in time. But the food was delicious and despite all of our Western food safety concerns, none of us had any issues. If you are adventurous this cooking experience is for you! For the not so food adventurous the spice farm tour was excellent on its own.

The cooking class was super great and the food tasted wonderful. Maria, the cook is a totally warm and personable woman and a wonderful cook. You could help a lot and the tour guide Dida explained everything great. She also speaks super German. The cooking class is highly recommended.
