Kör igång din en gång i livet resa till Rainbow Mountain, Peru, med en tidig morgonstart klockan 0500, när vi hämtar dig från ditt hotell i Cusco. Därifrån väntar en naturskön tre timmars bilresa genom Cuscos södra dal, som leder oss till det välkomnande Hanchi Pacha-samhället i Pitumarca Village.
Vid ankomsten kommer en överdådig traditionell frukost att serveras. Efter en kort säkerhetsorientering gav vi oss ut på den fascinerande Rainbow Mountain Trek. Inom de kommande två och en halv timmarna kommer du att stiga till en höjd av 5030 meter (16502 fot), med panoramautsikt som väntar på toppen. Leden lovar förtrollande vyer av frodiga landskap, lokalt djurliv som lamor och alpackor, ursprungssamhällen och bergets ikoniska livfulla nyanser. När vi färdas genom olika Andinska höglandsbyar kommer vår guide att berika din resa med berättelser och traditioner från orten.

Although the full day excursion to the Rainbow Mountain starts at 4:30 am when you do all the walking, when the same excursion is done using quadricycles, the tour starts at 8:30 am. This makes it possible to arrive at the place, after lunch, when the bulk of the tourists have already left the place and therefore it is not necessary to line up to take the photo at the bottom viewpoint in addition to being able to appreciate the place in all its splendour. We decided to use quadricycles to climb the road because the lagoon is 5000m high and the final climb demands a lot of energy. There are two viewpoints, an upper and a lower one that allow to observe the whole colorful part of the mountain. It is a very nice place of the same style as the Hornocal de Jujuy but it looks very close.
