Denna upplevelse går utöver datum och landmärken för att utforska Paris genom levd historia, gemenskap och närvaro. I stället för att fokusera på en enda berättelse, kopplar turnén samman afrikanska, karibiska, svarta amerikanska och diasporiska berättelser över stadsdelar och visar hur det svarta livet har hjälpt till att forma staden på synliga och subtila sätt. Upplevelsen ger utrymme för samtal, reflektion och sammanhang när vi reser genom områden som de flesta besökare aldrig kopplar till en enda berättelse. Från butiker, restauranger och landmärken lämnar gästerna inte bara informerade, men med en ny relation till Paris.

Vi börjar på det historiska litterära caféet Les Deux Magots för ett möte och en hälsning. Gästerna njuter av en lätt Franska frukost som ingår i turen medan de lär sig om kaféets plats i Paris intellektuella liv och dess koppling till svarta författare som bodde och arbetade i staden. Detta är ett tillfälle att finna sig tillrätta, träffa gruppen och sätta kontexten för dagen som kommer.
Vi stannar till vid Présence Africaine, en bokhandel och bokförlag som grundades 1949 och som har spelat en central roll i det afrikanska och diasporiska intellektuella livet i Paris. Här får gästerna lära sig om dess inflytande på författare, tänkare och rörelser som kopplade samman Afrika, Karibien och Europa, och varför detta utrymme är viktigt än idag.
Vi stannar till inne i La Rhumerie, ett historiskt romhus grundat 1932 med rötter i Franska Västindien. Här får gästerna lära sig om de kulturella och ekonomiska banden mellan Paris och Karibien.
I Pigalle utforskar vi en stadsdel som en gång formades av svarta artister, arenor och kulturellt utbyte i början av 1900-talet. Gästerna lär sig hur musik, nattliv och migration förvandlade detta område och varför det spelade en viktig roll i svart parisisk historia.
Vi reser sedan till La Goutte d’Or, en levande stadsdel formad av afrikanska samhällen. På promenader genom lokala gator och marknadsområden upplever gästerna vardagen samtidigt som de lär sig hur denna stadsdel blev en kulturell och kommersiell knutpunkt i Paris.
Vi avslutar på en afrikansk restaurang, där gästerna har tid att koppla av, reflektera och dela höjdpunkter från dagen. Detta sista stopp erbjuder en gemensam avslutning på upplevelsen.

The tour guide Knight, curated a very informative experience. The tour highlighted contributions of Black intellectuals, performers, writers, activists and restauranteurs and their rich multifaceted legacy. Coming away from the experience, my perspective has been enriched and balanced, since as an African American woman, the stories about Blacks in Paris have been told from a very singular point of view. Highly recommended!!
This was one of the highlights of the entire trip. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and went out his way to interact and answer everyone’s questions. I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting Paris.

Knight is the best tour guide. He’s very informative and patient with the questions. Very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the history and the restaurants. Even though the train line was being repaired, Knight kept us moving with his knowledge of the bus and train systems .

5 stars – Absolutely unforgettable. Our entire group was deeply moved by the Black Paris Tour. This experience opened our minds, hearts, and eyes in such a powerful way. We left feeling emotionally connected, inspired, and far more aware of the deep roots and beautiful presence of Black history and culture in Paris. The tour gave us a meaningful understanding of how Paris has long been a place of refuge, belonging, and beauty for people of color and people from many backgrounds. We did not feel like outsiders looking in — we felt immersed, welcomed, safe, and truly connected to the people, places, and stories around us. This tour is everything it says it is and more. From the history, to the markets, to the shopping, to the amazing food and sweet treats, every part of it was memorable. AfroNomadik Tours & Experiences deserves so much credit for creating something this special, and our guide was exceptional — not only knowledgeable, but deeply passionate and unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour. If you are considering booking, do it. You will leave with a full heart and a whole new appreciation for Paris.
Our knowledgeable, fun, flexible tour guide, Knight, was extraordinary and made the Black presence in Paris come alive! He allowed us to make the tour what we needed for our particular group, since we booked the entire slot, meaning our party was the only party represented. We stopped and shopped when we wanted to, and he still packed a wealth of information into a relatively small window of time.
Knight, our guide, was outstanding - patient, kind and deeply knowledgeable. We had an amazing experience learning about the African American literary icons who frequented the surrounding cafés, as well as the Black historical trailblazers who either visited or called Paris home. What made the tour even more memorable was Knight’s use of historical video footage and vintage photographs from Paris’ past, which truly enhanced the visual experience. This is a must-do tour that fully engages all five senses from beginning to end. Giving him much deserved flowers for the care and excellence Knight brought to our experience.
