Gör dig redo för en oförglömlig elcykeltur genom Bordeaux landsbygd, från Bordeaux till Saint-Émilion, två UNESCO-listade destinationer. Upptäck ikoniska landmärken som Palais Gallien, Saint-André-katedralen, Grosse Cloche och Pont de Pierre. Cykla genom naturregionen Entre-Deux-Mers och upptäck Bordeaux landsbygd på ett sätt som få har chansen att göra; mellan pittoreska byar, stengårdar och vingårdar så långt ögat kan nå. Ett av de mest symboliska monumenten, Saint-André-katedralen, spårar stadens historia från medeltiden till nutid.
Cykla längs en av stadens vackraste gator. Grosse Cloche var stadens huvudport under medeltiden.
Pont de Pierre är den första stenbron som byggdes i Bordeaux. Den representerar 1800-talet.
En lugn stig längs Garonne, på högra stranden. Denna sektion erbjuder hisnande utsikter över Bordeauxs historiska landskap, inklusive Place de la Bourse och Grosse Cloche i fjärran. Det är ett lugnt, skogsområde, perfekt för att njuta av kontrasten mellan stadens liv och rörelse och flodsträndernas lugna läge, innan man når landsbygden och vingårdarna.

Bouillac är en liten, diskret by vid porten till Entre-deux-Mers-regionen, och omsluter dig av Girondes landsbygds lugn. Här börjar vingårdarna forma landskapet, mellan häckar och ljusa stenhus.
Inbäddad vid porten till Entre-Deux-Mers markerar denna charmiga by övergången mellan stad och landsbygd. Du kommer att följa fridfulla stigar och gamla järnvägslinjer, i hjärtat av naturen och vingårdarna. Du cyklar på den legendariska cykelvägen Roger Lapébie, som slingrar sig genom skogar och byar och erbjuder en lugn och trygg miljö mitt i naturen. Vi trampar i fullständig frihet, vaggade av fåglarnas sång och lövens sorl.
Sadirac är känd för sitt keramikförflutna och en by med hantverksmässiga rötter. Dess lantliga arv och böljande landskap ger en smak av det land som väntar dig längre bort. Här njuter vi av en gourmetstund med en picknick i fransk stil med vin och lokala produkter.
Créon, en tidigare engelsk befäst stad, är idag ett trevligt övernattningsställe i hjärtat av Entre-deux-Mers. Du kan träffa cyklister, lokala producenter och boende under arkaderna på det centrala torget. En autentisk och varm atmosfär.
Denna fridfulla by är hemvist för en tusenårig historia. Inbäddat mellan vingårdar och skogar leder den dig varsamt mot en dold skatt av Girondes kulturarv. Därifrån kan du se de majestätiska ruinerna av klostret La Sauve-Majeure, detta benediktinerkloster dominerar landskapet. Grundad på 1100-talet frammanar den medeltidens andliga kraft. En plats genomsyrad av tystnad, historia och mystisk skönhet. En kontemplativ paus på vägen.
Vinrankorna blir tätare, relieferna blir mer framträdande: du träder in i vinets värld. Daignac erbjuder magnifik utsikt över de vinodlande sluttningarna och stigarna kantade av stenmurar.
I hjärtat av vingården är Grézillac en inbjudan att sakta ner. Mellan familjeägda vingårdar och hisnande utsikter över dalarna är miljön idealisk för en lantlig picknick i skuggan av ekar eller i en glänta.
Du når floden Dordogne! Branne är en livlig by belägen vid flodens strand. Du kan känna vindalens inflytande, mellan små butiker, kaféer och färgglada marknader. Här korsar du Le Pont de Branne, en metallbro med utsikt över Dordogne och en slående utsikt över båda sidorna. Genom att korsa den passerar du symboliskt från Entre-deux-Mers till portarna till den prestigefyllda Saint-Émilion-regionen.
En emblematisk egendom bland Grands Crus Classés i Saint-Émilion. Mellan tradition och elegans förkroppsligar La Gaffelière Bordeaux-vinernas excellens. En trevlig introduktion innan den slutgiltiga finishen.

We had the perfect day, Edwin our guide was excellent he guided us through Bordeaux and out into the countryside towards our final destination, the lunch stop was lovely. We would definitely recommend this trip.

We had the best day cycling with Edwin from Bordeaux to St Emillion. Edwin was so knowledgeable about the city, region and it's wine and food. He took us on an absolutely beautiful route and he made us a carefully considered, beautiful lunch en route. Edwin kindly took lots of photos and videos along the way so we didn't have to worry about missing a moment of the experience. When we arrived at the vineyard Edwin went above and beyond to translate the tour for us as unfortunately on the day we visited there was not an English speaking tour running. The train ride back to Bordeaux rounded off the perfect day. I can't recommend this trip highly enough. It absolutely made our holiday and we'll never forget it.

This was a great day. Picked the e-Bike up in Bordeaux and was surprised that it was heavier than I expected. But that made no difference, as when you're riding, it's so smooth and feels as light as a feather. We started out cycling around the streets of Bordeaux, with our fabulous guide Edwin showing us several iconic sites. Traffic, pedestrians, and other cyclists made for a busy first hour, but take it slow; motorists, other cyclists and pedestrians are very tolerant and polite, catering for any clumsiness you (well, me) may have initially. I hadn't ridden a bike in years, but all good...you'll be fine! We soon left the traffic and entered a wonderfully serene bikeway. Several kms along the way, a lunch stop, where Edwin magically produced a delicious, rustic picnic, with, of course, a fine bottle of wine (red and white). Continued on another serene bikeway and got to St Emilion, where we toured and tasted some beautiful wines. St Emilion is amazing - full of history, and of course, wine! You'll get the train back to Bordeaux, Edwin will show you where the station is; a short 10 minute walk. A great day with Edwin, who is so accommodating and friendly. I definitely recommend Edwin and Gravel Explore for this day tour.

Such an incredible experience travelling through the French countryside. It’s not about the end but about the journey. Lunch was delicious, and the wine tasting was memorable. Landscapes, conviviality, culture and terroir, everything was there. Edwin was able to share his passion for gravel with us, a good discovery of this activity, accessible to all. A very nice walk in the vineyards with tasting at the castle. The return by train from Saint Emilion was very convenient
