Upplev en perfekt dag med sol, hav och kultur! Njut av nästan 5 timmars ren avkoppling, bada och sola vid havet, när vi tar dig till två av Greklands mest ikoniska stränder - Elafonisi och Falasarna - allt på en oförglömlig dag. Vi börjar vår resa på Elafonisi, dagens mest hisnande destination. Dyk ner i grunt turkost vatten, promenera längs mjuk rosa sand och utforska exotiska laguner, perfekt även för barn. Därefter beger vi oss västerut till den fantastiska Falasarna Beach, en lokal favorit känd för sitt kristallklara turkosa hav och breda, vita sandstrand – perfekt för att varva ner under solen. Vårt sista stopp är den traditionella byn Vouves, där vi besöker världens äldsta olivträd och njuter av en provning av ren kretensisk extra jungfruolja – en sann smak av öns arv. Utanför den sydvästra spetsen av Kreta, cirka 75 kilometer från Chania stad, ligger stranden Elafonisi och den lilla ön. Det ligger inom gångavstånd från fastlandet, ibland utan att ens tårna blir våta. Det användes en gång av pirater för att dölja deras byte (lafyra) och det var så det fick sitt namn. Ön (cirka 1,3 km lång och 400 meter bred) är ett skyddat naturreservat och har en av de finaste sandstränderna i landet. Mer än så är Elafonisi den enda grekiska utmanaren på en Tripadvisor-lista över världens 25 bästa stränder för 2014. Detta kan förväntas: bländande vitrosa sand, turkosvit lagunliknande vatten som krusar när de tar upp vinden , en exotisk plats med sporadisk vegetation mot de kretensiska bergen. På ön upptäck många små vikar, sandstränder och intressanta klippformationer. Det är också hem för 110 växtarter inklusive den skyddade Androcymbium rechingeri, vilket är så sällsynt som det låter.
Falasarna-stranden ligger i den västra delen av Kreta, ca 53 km från staden Chania och 13 km från staden Kissamos. Ganska populärt bland dagsturister, dess fantastiska stränder och klara turkosblå hav är unika. Den har fått många utmärkelser för sin skönhet, bekvämligheter och tjänster som besökaren åtnjuter. Den långa sandstranden är en av dess viktigaste fördelar, eftersom den ger besökarna chansen att njuta av den, även under högsäsong. Att simma i strandens kristallklara turkosa vatten kommer att få vem som helst att känna det ultimata nöjet. Dess strand är fullt organiserad med parasoller och solstolar i sin största del. Det finns dock flera lediga platser för dem som föredrar att lägga sitt eget paraply och handduk på sanden. Det som kommer att imponera mest på dig är den charmiga och unika solnedgången, en av de vackraste i Grekland. Solnedgången där är verkligen imponerande, eftersom det inte finns något som hindrar ditt synfält mellan stranden och horisonten.
Olivträdet i Vouves är förmodligen ett av de äldsta olivträden i världen, som är produktivt än i dag. Den exakta åldern på trädet kan inte fastställas. Medan trädringanalys visade att trädet var minst 2000 år gammalt, har forskare från Kretas universitet uppskattat att det är 4000 år gammalt. 1997 förklarades det som ett skyddat naturmonument och i oktober 2009 invigdes Olive Tree Museum of Vouves i ett närliggande 1800-talshus, som visar upp traditionella verktyg som används i processen för olivodling. Från och med de olympiska spelen i Aten 2004 användes olivkvistar "kotinos" från detta gamla olivträd för kransen av maratonvinnare i varje olympiskt spel. Varje år besöker över 20 000 människor från hela världen detta gamla träd.

It didn't took us long to find someone offering tours around Crete, close to the place where we were staying. Safe to say we made the right choice with SeaByBus. Eleni was such a lovely guide with a lot of historical know how. Kostas drove us savely to Elafonisi, Falasarna and Vouves. If you want to see two of the most lovely beaches and the worlds oldest olive tree, we can highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing day! Our group only consisted of 7 people. The guide was excellent. The scenry beautiful. The time at the beaches was just right. We booked last minute due to other plans derailing, but this was so much better. Highly recommend!

My wife and I traveled from Texas to Crete for our honeymoon. Our first adventure on the island was with SeaByBus. We were greeted with kindness the whole time. I would highly recommend these kind people to escort you around the island and teach you a thing or two about the Cretans. They provided a nice beach lunch and supplies needed to have a good time at the beach (Beach mat, umbrealla, lunch box. I enjoyed them so much that I booked a private taxi to the airport in Heraklion from Chania with them. I chatted with Christine via WhatsApp and she was delightful and a great help. Better than renting a car and getting lost - let the professionals take care of you. The "snacks" were healthy home cooked pastries full of Cretean goodness and so healthy as well as yummy and tasty. They thought of everything from cold water, sleeping mats and umbrellas. (I feel sad though - that the wind blew our umbrella inside out and probably ruined it). Elifanici beach was breathtakingly beautiful - and we went there first as it gets crowded as the day goes on. The other beach was also amazing - blue water like a David Hockney painting. The oldest olive was nice - but not very photogenic as it had a fence all around it - still it was lovely to visit a peaceful Cretean family homestead. We loved feeding the chickens and tasting fresh bread dipped in extra virgin olive oil. Great day.

We had an amazing time on this tour and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Crete. Everything was very well organised from start to finish. Our tour guide (Eleni) and our driver (Kostas) were both fantastic. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. They also went above and beyond by kindly picking us up and dropping us off (even though we were staying outside the standard pick-up area), which we really appreciated. Communication was excellent throughout, from the moment we booked the tour and also on the day itself, so everything felt smooth and stress-free. We had a wonderful day. Great day at both beaches. Very nice that they add on the visit to the Vouves oldest olive tree with tasting. Hospitality was amazing. They provided everything. Great box lunch, mats & umbrella for the beach & all the drinks from soda, water to beer. Snorkel gear was available. Had a wonderful time & great experience.
