I’ve been to Puerto Rico multiple times, as well as El Yunque, but I never had the ability to experience this before(PS- if you don’t want to read all of this go to the bottom for a short conclusion). Firstly, transportation via van was great, a bit bumpy but the views going up the mountain were worth it. Crowd size is brought down to a minimum as you are optioned to stay behind in an area of the mountain with very cold, but clear water area, which is accompanied by other tour parties and locals to the area that are there for the same thing; a good time! Big parties are definitely recommended! The price of this tour, which was good for the time given to you, which was about 4 hours, was good at 45 dollars per person for the El Yunque Water slides tour. Guides knew exactly what they were doing, and as it says on the website are local to the island, and was even told that our guide grew up in the area we were touring. Throughout the entire tour the guides were very inviting and kind, giving instructions and help on what to do, whether that would be telling you how to go up a steep or otherwise difficult area to climb to. You are taken first to one small water slide as well with a small 5ft cliff jump into some deep water, but you are given life jackets and helmets prior to your hike, guides mentioned safety as there number one priority. Next you go down a bit into a little bigger slide into another cliff jump that is a bit larger at 15ft tall. Then your given the option to go to the even higher cliff jump at around 40ft which was insane and something you need to do if your up to it. After your brought even further down the mountain towards the area you came, which leads to a calmer cliff jump at about 25ft and a rope jump where you hold onto a rope and let go as your above the water below. In Conclusion, this is basically a one in a life time experience of the El Yunque Rainforest that became long lasting memories by the amazing guides, Dani and Arnie we appreciate you!
Well done. You are entrusting your guide with your safety when you go on the tour. Of course, using your own brain, and knowing your own limitations is crucial, but our guide was great (Julio) and safety was his priority. Very satisfied.
A lot of hiking, climbing and walking so be prepared. Beautiful sightseeing. Waterfalls are beautiful. Family had an amazing time.
Wear shoes that will grip on wet rocks! Hike is fairly difficult- not for those that aren’t fit. Alana and Danny were incredible guides- made us feel safe and supported throughout and took pictures which was amazing. Our group of 9 was in agreement that this was an incredible experience. Appreciated the use of helmets. Sliding down water falls, rope swing and cliff jumping in the beautiful rainforest- all unforgettable! Appreciated the information about the rainforest history and some of its species. Thank you!!
Our large group, of over 40 people, enjoyed this adventure immensely. They met our tour bus, cared for us throughout the adventure, and helped us go to the following activity, too. They also flexed our schedule due to our challenging schedule for the day. A few things to note- 1) Closed toed shoes means tennis shoes with grip. NOT water shoes that are smooth on the bottom. The rocks are VERY slippery. 2) We laughed about the helmets until we actually realized that they saved us more than once. It is likely that you will hit your head on something at some point. The helmet will save you every time. 3) The climb is physically strenuous and challenging- even if you work out. Do you best to use 3 points of contact at all times. We did best when the guides told us where to step and assisted by holding our hands. 4) The water slides were super fun and cold. Follow their directions exactly and you will be fine. 5) There was an option to jump or swing. We appreciated the fact that we could opt out. 6) The climb back down was more challenging because the guides were assisting those who wanted to jump so the rest of us had to figure out how to climb down and there were some extreme options that were nerve wracking. I suggest staying in groups of 3 to help one another. 7) Snacks and water was provided which was a huge plus. 8) The best part of all? They photos and video they took were GIVEN to us! Leave your phone behind and keep your hands free. Know that you will get incredible pictures afterwards.
Amazing experience with my daughter! Great communication from start to finish, and they picked us up right in front of our Airbnb. The guides were very friendly and helpful throughout the tour. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!
Had the best experience with our tour guides! They took so many photos, stayed behind with us when we needed a break, understood when we got nervous about the jumps and never made us feel rushed or pressured! Very knowledgeable, I can’t wait to come back!
Wear sneakers and socks you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. Take in the beauty of the rainforest and have fun.
We had an amazing experience with Paradise Seekers on their El Yunque tour with transportation included. From the moment we booked, communication was excellent. They were always responsive, friendly and made sure we had all the information we needed before our tour. Our group was picked up directly from our Airbnb right on time and our driver was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Once we arrived at El Yunque, our tour guide was absolutely 10/10. He was extremely knowledgeable about the rainforest and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. He helped us navigate difficult climbing areas, pointed out spots where we needed to be especially careful to avoid slipping and was always attentive to everyone in the group. What really stood out was how encouraging he was. He helped us build the confidence to do some of the more intimidating cliff jumps and made sure everyone felt supported without ever feeling pressured. He also provided water throughout the hike and ended the tour with snacks, which was a thoughtful touch after such an active adventure. Our driver continued to make the day seamless by taking us to the Luquillo Kiosks after the tour and giving us plenty of time to eat, explore and enjoy the area. He then drove us to another location for a separate UTV excursion we had booked. Even though there were delays with the UTV tour, he was patient, understanding and waited for us without any issues. During the drive back to our Airbnb, he shared interesting information about Puerto Rico, its culture and local history, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire team went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. We highly recommend Paradise Seekers to anyone looking for a fun, safe and well-organized adventure in Puerto Rico. We would absolutely book with them again!
Such an awesome experience! The driver picked us up from the port and made sure we got back with time to spare. I went with my 7 year old daughter and 63 year old mother. They both went on the waterslides and made the jumps. Everyone had a blast and safety was important to the guides. We would definitely book again!
