We enjoyed the historical tour opportunities within the plantation. Everyone knowledgeable and friendly and presentations informative. Beautiful experience.
It was an interesting peek at life back then. The h Guides and personnel were very friendly and were able to really tell the real thing
We thought the presentations discussing slavery on the plantation and the Gullah tribe were very informative. The nature tour was also a nice way to learn about what crops are grown on the site while also seeing some animals that are on the grounds. Transportation was great and was perfect for those who don’t want to worry about organizing everything themselves. Just to note going in August can be tough at times due to the humidity and heat as we were out in the sun for a lot of the day.
We wanted to visit Boone Plantation. Booking the bus and plantation tour was the way to go. No delays, very friendly driver and compact bus.
A lot to do, really enjoyed the history of the property. Toured the house, farm and would definitely recommend the Doulah presentation.
Very interesting, loved the historical and cultural emphasis on plantation life, especially the Gullah experience.
Well worth the experience. Our driver pointed out some notable landmarks on our way to Boone Hall. So much to see at Boone Hall. The guides were very informative and witty. A must for anyone visiting the Charleston area.
As an afropuertorican woman learning about the African American experience it was very impressionable. My take away we all must engage in these stories when you know better you do better. Grounds are stunning g and the history is very eye opening. My favorite was engaging with Ms Glander and learning about the Gullah Geechee community.
Excellent walkable half day excursion not far from downtown small market available for purchases and beverages
