Egyptiska museet har artefakter från den faraoniska perioden. Museet visar en sällsynt samling av 5000 år av konst som anses vara den största och mest värdefulla samlingen av egyptisk konst i världen. Över 250 000 artefakter presenteras, inklusive en utställning tillägnad Tutankhamen samling av skatter, guld och smycken som var innesluten i hans grav i över 3 500 år
Den kallas också "Alabastermoskén" på grund av den glänsande marmorn som täcker dess inre och yttre väggar. Byggdes för att be och för att Mohamed Ali skulle begravas i. Mohamed Ali begravdes i graven på den östra sidan tillsammans med böneområdet.
Citadellen blev centrum för dessa stora befästningar och skyddade staden från höjderna av de klippiga kullarna som förbises. Slutfördes 1183 e.Kr., Saladins citadell tjänade som regeringsplats i Egypten i 700 år tills Khedive Ismail flyttade in i Abdeen-palatset i nybyggda centrum i Kairo på 1870-talet.
Ingen resa till Kairo skulle vara komplett utan ett besök i Khan Al-Khalili. Basaren är högljudd, trång, färgstark och spännande – full av alla sorters varor och glänsande grannlåt. Marknaden har flera restauranger och caféer utspridda överallt där du kan ta en paus från shoppingen. Även om du inte är ute efter att köpa, ta en promenad genom de slingrande gränderna i detta labyrintiska distrikt, kommer du säkert att hitta något som kommer att fånga ditt öga
Koptiska Kairo är ett unikt område med Gamla Kairo som har en koncentration av kristna kyrkor och andra platser som härstammar från århundradena mellan den faraoniska religionens nedgång och islams ankomst när Egypten hade en kristen majoritet. Koptiska Kairo är till stor del byggt runt fortet Babylon på resterna av dess murar. Där kommer du att njuta av ett besök i den hängande kyrkan, Ben Ezra-synagogan, St. Barbara-kyrkan, Abu Serga-kyrkan.

We spent 3 days with this tour operator doing 3 different tours. The organization was excellent, and the staff was punctual, knowledgeable, and efficient. A special mention goes to Farouk, a young man who possesses all the qualities of an experienced tour leader. His courtesy and professionalism complemented the excellent services.

My experience was 5 out of 5. The guides were very good and the coordinators excellent. I have to mention Alihassan who went above and beyond to get me a better flight back from Abu Simbel to Cairo airport. In addition to being in Aswan very much watching that everything was coordinated. You guide them as a very efficient and history-savvy OMMI. I can also mention Mohammed in Cairo who coordinates everything. Anyway Memphis tours have very good guides in Egypt, the one in Cairo I think called Syad or more or less good. Perfect carry-and-bring coordination. Very happy with everything.

Our Egypt trip was an amazing experience, covering three days in Cairo with Memphis Tours. The history, culture, and iconic sites made it truly unforgettable. I would like to recommend this company, because the visit to Cairo the museums, pyramids, and Alexandria were perfect, very good guide' Mickaël ' the restaurants very well too, the vehicles are old , the seat belts not working , do not subscribe to an activity other than those offered in the program they are overpriced , felucca tour 45 minutes 46€ while it is offered at 15€

From our arrival at Cairo airport to our return in 10 days everything was perfect. The Sheraton hotel very well and good breakfasts in quantity, quality and variety. Hotel restaurant for dinner are the Sapporo (Japanese), an Italian Gino's and the cafeteria, all very good quality and affordable prices. The tour of pyramids, the Grand Museums of Cairo, Coptic neighborhood, etc. very well and with some magnificent guides and drivers. The cruiser advised MS Salacian Nile. A small boat of no more than 50 people and we were about 24 or 25 (more staff than passengers). Very good food, quality , quantity and for all tastes and nationalities. Spacious cabins with 2 toilets, wooden boat inside very nice and with comfortable lounges and terraces.The staff could not be kinder. Our private journeys, without queues, without burdens, in quality vehicles good drivers and better guides and representatives. ALWAYS feel safe and accompanied. Visits to the different monuments well explained by prepared guides. Thanks to Mrs. Asrhaf my advisor on the trip, to Representatives Abu Kabir and Faid, to the guides Farouk, Mohamed of Aswan, Deen and the drivers: the Soldier? And everyone else. The only black mole were the 3 lunches included in visits 2 in Cairo and 1 in Alexandria. The first 2 exactly the same "tourist menu"? Cold, dry and poorly cooked and the last of the finest quality fish and seafood (plus we are seaport in Andalucia as well as Alexandria). Ultimately outstanding journey I don't give you the outstanding cum laudem for the latter.

You get a diverse picture of Cairo, historical, cultural, and religious with a great lunch in an historic restaurant in the Khan Al-Kalili Market/Bazaar area.

We spent 4 days in Egypt visiting, in addition to the Great Egyptian Museum, the great pyramids and the stepped pyramid of Saqqara, the city of Cairo, the Coptic quarter and the most important mosques. We also spent a day in Alexandria with a visit to the most significant places. During the trip we were always accompanied by Osama Ismail who proved to be an exceptional guide with deep knowledge of both ancient and modern Egyptian history. He gave us detailed explanations about all the monuments visited with very precise historical references for each. He speaks perfect Italian and we could not have asked for better. To complete our satisfaction our appreciation also goes to Hassan, the driver who accompanied us all these days, always calm despite the traffic in Cairo, cautious and vigilant driving. The organization of the trip satisfied us completely and we were always assisted in a timely manner by Memphis Tours.
