Ecuador Classic 8 Days Tour

The itinerary allowed us to see the majority of the country . Our guide was amazing and caring , treating us like family . The accommodation was good and unique to each of the areas . The Amazon & Galapagos was a great addition and suited our interests.

We recently completed an 8-day tour of Ecuador, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlights for me were hiking around Cotopaxi, relaxing in the hot springs of Baños, and discovering the wildlife-rich cloud forests. Patricio our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the journey both smooth and enriching. Overall, this tour was the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty—highly recommended!

We had a wonderful trip in Ecuador’s mainland, exploring Quito, Cotopaxi National Park, Banos, Alausi, Cuenca and Guayaquil. We experienced rich culture, stunning architecture, and awe-inspiring natural beauty (including a thrilling cable car ride over a canyon, and beautiful hikes to a waterfall and to see views of majestic volcanoes). Our guide Alejandro was phenomenal, sharing Ecuador’s history and special views with us and local highlights, including eating soursop and chiremoya (delicious fruits), sampling homemade fresh taffy, enjoying roast pork at a market, and drinking canelazo and corn beer. He explained the fascinating backgrounds and customs of some indigenous groups. Alejandro took care of everything for us, providing all transportation and making sure we got where we needed to go. The accommodations were superb, the food was delicious, and the people were very friendly. We had no safety issues or concerns at all. We came away with appreciation for Ecuador’s indigenous and Incan roots and Spanish influences, resulting in a vibrant cultural mix; and for Ecuador’s respect for its natural resources. We have taken many tours, and we can say that Guidecuador’s service could not have been better - and the destination was spectacular.

JuAnDa was an EXCELLENT guide! He never ever gave me a time limit in a location; instead, he always asked me how much time I would like there! He always tried to add cool things to the itinerary and was full of surprises each day. He went out of his way to make sure I had the things I needed each day and at the hotels. My visit to Ecuador is unforgettable!

First i have been on many diving trips. From a 1-10 this trip was an 11. The life we saw was off the charts. We tapered the trip with land excursions as well. Alejandro staff was there at every return from picking us up to dropping us off. It was really really detailed and good.

We had an excellent experience seeing Ecuador on the 8 day tour. This tour was a great immersion in the lesser visited cities and communities of the Ecuadorian Andes mountains. The trip was well organized and paced for our comfort and full of culturally meaningful experiences. We felt that our safety and interests were always the top priority. Our guide, Josue, was very experienced, friendly and spoke excellent English. We especially enjoyed Intinan, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Ingapirca, and the Pumapungo museum. Banos and Cuenca were our favorite cities: beautiful, walkable and unique. We loved trying all the new foods, and I appreciated Josue's help with my Spanish.

My husband and I recently completed a private 8 day road trip with Guidecuador and we were lucky enough to have Alejandro as our personal guide. Alex is very knowledgeable about all things Ecuador and he was full of stories, history, culture, geology and advice. We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable guide or more safe, comfortable vehicle. Alex certainly made us feel safe and welcome in his country, especially after a rocky day in Quito before we started with him. We were extremely happy with his service, including the advance work Guidecuador made booking hotels and making adjustments to the itinerary in consultation with my wife. Our hotel accommodations were terrific, the itinerary was well thought out and well executed, free of stress, and we really enjoyed the cities and towns visited. This is undoubtedly the best tour company I have ever used. Alejandro is engaging and knowledgeable. I saw and experienced so much of Equador. It truly is a beautiful country. I will definitely return to Latin America. It's a tremendous place to visit

Alejandro and his guides are some of the most amazing people you will ever meet in your life! I came with my high school years ago and have now returned as an adult and even have hopes to complete my senior thesis research at the Darwin Research Station! The whole experience was amazing, traveling from island to island, snorkeling with such incredible animals like white tip sharks, hammerheads, to snorkeling with sea lions and sea turtles, hiking to the most beautiful white sand beaches, to exploring the local community, there was not a moment unfulfilled! My partner and I felt safe, loved, and taken care of the whole 8 days. The hotels we slept in were fantastic, with all the amenities you would need as well as breakfast every morning even according to your itinerary. Even at the end of our trip when there was a misunderstanding and we were not able to get on our scheduled flight, Alejandro came to rescue us and out of his own pocket paid for a final night in Quito. Forever will Alejandro, Darío y Priscilla, as well as all the guides will forever live in our hearts and our minds. Thank you guys so much for such an amazing experience!! Un abrazó a todos :)

GuideEcuador was absolutely the best decision I made when choosing to travel solo during the pandemic in May 2021. Specifically, what stood out the most to me was the business owner and personal tour guide - Alejandro. He is literally the definition of continually delighting a customer - through his professionalism, trustworthiness, reliability, knowledge-sharing, work ethic, vast social network, responsiveness, and experience. I did not have to worry about one-detail - everything was done and planned and thought about in advance to the tee...while road-tripping through the Amazon with Alejandro (I was the only one on our which was really cool!), I learned a great about him and his country/heritage, which is he most proud of. Alejandro has over 20 years of guide experience, has been to the Galapagos over 200 times, has his MBA in hospitality, and was born and raised in Ecuador. He customized trips to meet the traveler needs versus the cookie cutter group packages so that travelers have a huge say in their dates and excursions (versus those that lack flexibility and optionality). Alejandro instills this flexible, go with the flow mindset, humble, reliable, strong work ethic in his employees as well so you can truest just relax and enjoy the ride. He even had personal covid testers on call to meet me at hotels which were required for Galapagos and US re-entry. Alejandro really listens to details, pays attention to small comments, and treats everyone with kindness and respect (reminded me of Australian poppyseed culture). He told me the story of one time he hiked 2 hours round trip and skipped dinner in order to get cell reception so that he could honor his work and get back to his prospective customers. Hotels, excursions, and staff were top-notch. I felt like Alejandro had my back and put my experience and safety first. I had the absolute best time and only have GuideEcuador to thank! I would love to do the Colombia trip soon and to likewise return the favor if you or your staff ever find yourself in San Diego!
